unexpected reward

After recreating Sam, he is now in his bedroom, trying to come up with a convincing story for Drake and Dom's disappearance.

"Let's check the reward first, and then keep thinking of a reasonable excuse," Max grumbled, instructing the system to display what he gained from the task.

The justification for making up a tale and not telling others the reality is to avoid further issues, such as what if they think of others as his clones as well? or believe Max is a clone of someone unknown to them? A single doubt can cause his little organization to implode.

"Yes, finally, an other-world travel reward." Max raised his hands high in celebration, seeing the reward.

"By the way, system, is there any way to decide on a world of my liking?" Max inquired.

[The host can sacrifice that world item where the host wants to go, and the random ticket will change to the designated world ticket.]

"Hmm, pity I only have one ticket; I would have liked to see which world the random ticket would take me to," Max mused as he shook his head.

"But I can't waste this rare chance; I have to decide a world from which I can get maximum value," Max thought.

"Hmm, I can go to Slime World or One Piece World; currently, these two worlds will give me maximum profit," Max contemplated and eventually decided to go to One Piece World, as from there he can bring Devil Fruits and...

"And thanks to this ticket, I have thought of the perfect excuse now." With a chuckle, Max opens a portal leading to the Twilight Isle Laboratory. Since it's still five in the morning, most people will be asleep. Max decided to work on the transformer and said, "I'll keep working on it until 10 a.m.; by then, everyone would have been awake."

In the late afternoon.

"Damn, I forgot to check the time," Max says as he completes his task.

"Alisa, call everyone to the conference room," Max stated as he entered the room.

When he arrived, he discovered that everyone was already seated.

"Sam has already informed us about Dom and Drake's disappearance, and he didn't explain their disappearance and told us that you would explain to us about their sudden disappearance," Felicia stated as soon as Max entered the room.

' Don't worry, I only told them that, we might never see Drake and Dom again' Sam message came through his Focus.

Max then sits down and adds, "Actually, it's not that they disappeared, but that they returned."

"They were not from our world; they were brought here by accident." "They were researching a way to return to their world, and yesterday, Dom was successful in opening a portal back to their home, but it was unstable, so they didn't get the time to say their goodbyes to all of you," Max added, pausing to let others process what they had just heard.

Hearing Max's words, silence hung in the room.

Bucky broke the silence by asking, "So, we can't see them any longer?"

"Theoretically, yes, we can't see them, but maybe Dom will be able to create a stable channel connecting our worlds; you know he is a genius in magic," Max replies with a wry expression.

"I think it's a good thing; after all, their families may have been worried all along," Gwen replied, attempting to lighten the atmosphere.

"Yes, Gwen's right." Peter also nodded.

Hearing their remarks, everyone's eyes light up, and everyone celebrates Dom and Drake's reunion with their family members.

"And Dom has left his magic knowledge for everyone, and Drake has left Hydreilion and Arch Duke to me and Sam," Max added, noting that the sad atmosphere had been replaced with a cheerful one.

"It won't cause Drake any problems in his world, right?" Bucky asked, worried about hearing Max's words.

"I had the same question as well. He stated there wouldn't be any issues because his world is full of such mystical creatures," Max answered.

Everyone hears Max's comments and sighs with relief.

"And one last thing, I can go to another world and bring two people along with me there." Once again, the entire audience fell silent at Max's comments.

"And whom are you going to bring along with you?" Felicia inquired, breaking the silence.

Max said, "Selene and Bucky."

"Hmm, I understand Selene, as she is the strongest of us all, but why Bucky?" Gwen posed the query that was on everyone's mind.

"Simple, he doesn't have any superpowers, so to allow him to gain a superpower," Max replied with a smile.

"So why not me?" "I don't have any superpowers either," Felicia stated after hearing Max's statements.

"Well.." Max had no idea how to respond to her inquiry, but Selene came to his rescue.

"Take her and Bucky; I'll go with you when it's just the two of us, plus them gaining super powers is priority" Selene offered, recognizing Max's dilemma.

Max glances at Selene gratefully and nods, he was hoping to bring Felicia, that way he don't have to bring her a Devil fruit, saving him a slot.

"Ehh, I was just joking. You guys can go there; I will go next time," Felicia responded awkwardly after hearing Selene's statements.

"Don't worry about me. Take them with you. They lack superpowers, and from you, I already know how dangerous this world is. So it will be better if they can gain superpowers during this trip and make our organization stronger," Selene remarked as she sealed the deal.

"Man, this is the first time I am regretting having superpowers," Peter commented, and others nodded at his statement.

Others didn't doubted Max as they already knows Max's super power is to summon different world items and an item that can take him to other world is no exception.
