The Instructor thought Ye Shaohua would say a few words in defense, but to their surprise, she didn't utter a single word and simply nodded.
"Instructor," Ye Shaohua glanced at the time on her phone, "if there's nothing else, I'll go to my class now."
"Go ahead." The Instructor wasn't particularly keen to scrutinize her and, with a wave of the hand, looked down and began fiddling with papers again.
The next session comprised two extensive lectures, which Ye Shaohua's class attended together with other classes.
Among those present were Cui Hao and Xun Yilin.
By the time she arrived, class was about to begin, and the classroom was nearly full, with only a few seats left.
All the spots were taken, save for a few in the first row, so Ye Shaohua headed straight there.
Only the middle of the first row had some seats remaining.
"Excuse me," she said to the girl at the outermost seat.
It was as if the girl hadn't heard her at all.
