Suddenly, a voice interrupted, "Oh my, is she okay?"
Ashley and Myra turned to see an old man approaching them.
"I'm fine," Myra insisted, though she remained on the ground.
"My name is Theodore Anderson," the old man said. Pausing for a reaction, he chuckled when Ashley and Myra seemed confused about who he was.
"We'll meet again," Theodore said before leaving, leaving the two girls perplexed.
Myra remarked, "That was weird."
Ashley agreed, "Tell me about it."
Josh, who appeared out of nowhere, nonchalantly stated, "That's old Theo. He's a telekinetic."
Myra, startled by Josh's sudden presence, quipped, "Good lord, make some noise when you move, Joshua."
Ignoring the comment, Josh elaborated, "He's the strongest telekinetic on the guys' side, and you're the strongest on the girls' side."
Myra, connecting the dots, mused, "Ah, he wants a duel."
While Ashley exuded confidence in her abilities, Myra offered a cautious perspective, advising against underestimating the older telekinetic.
"I wouldn't accept it I I were you," Myra said.
"Why? I can take him," Ashley asserted confidently.
"Don't mess with old people that what I learned from anime. Old people are always super strong," Myra cautioned.
Ashley, dismissing Myra's advice, rolled her eyes and turned her attention to Josh. Engaged in their conversation, Ashley overheard Myra muttering, "Damn."
Curious, Ashley followed Myra's gaze and discovered her captivation with a group of guys working out shirtless. Among them was Dylan, intentionally showcasing his physique to attract Myra's attention.
"Do they always work out like that?" Ashley asked, noticing Myra's gaze.
Josh, unimpressed, replied, "No, they don't."
Myra, seemingly lost in thought, mumbled, "They should."
Ashley rolled her eyes, dismissing the shirtless display as an attention-seeking tactic. "They just want attention," she remarked.
Myra disagreed, "No, they deserve attention."
Dylan, catching Ashley's eye, flashed a smug grin, clearly enjoying the effect he had on Myra.
Dylan, having paused his workout, approached Ashley, Myra, and Josh.
Myra couldn't hide her panic, exclaiming, "Oh shit, he's coming here." Amused, Ashley raised an eyebrow, asking Myra if she didn't want a closer look at the "eye candy."
"It's complicated. Hide me," Myra pleaded, clearly flustered by Dylan's approach.
Dylan greeted them casually, asking about their training progress. Myra, avoiding eye contact, responded with a curt "Good."
Ashley, unimpressed with Dylan's bare-chested presence, urged him to put on a shirt, claiming, "You're polluting my eyes."
Unfazed, Dylan retorted, "Then go somewhere else."
"We were here first," Ashley retorted, defending their territory.
Meanwhile, Thomas approached Myra, bringing a welcome distraction. Myra, delighted to see him, greeted him warmly. The two immersed themselves in their conversation, much to Dylan's evident displeasure.
After their training session, Ashley and Myra returned to their dorms for a quick shower before heading to the cafeteria for lunch. Seated at the table, Ashley couldn't help but inquire about the dynamics between Myra and Dylan.
"So, you and Dylan, what's going on?" Ashley asked, her curiosity evident.
Myra, initially claiming nothing was happening, eventually admitted, "I think he tried to kiss me."
Instantly intrigued, Ashley pressed for details. Myra explained, "I'm not sure, but I think he was going to kiss me, but I didn't let him."
Ashley nodded knowingly. "Let me get this straight, you don't like Dylan, right?" she clarified.
Myra insisted, "No, I mean, he's my friend."
Amused, Ashley reveled in the situation. "This is gold," she remarked. Expressing her disdain for Dylan, Ashley added, "Serves him right."
"Dylan is trash, and I'm not saying this just because of my issues with him," Ashley asserted, making her feelings clear
Yet, Myra didn't seem to take Ashley's words too seriously.
Shortly after, Josh and Thomas joined the table, and the group engaged in casual conversation while waiting for the cafeteria workers to start distributing food. When the distribution began, Josh, Myra, and Thomas went to collect their meals.
After grabbing their food, the group made their way back to the table. However, Thomas intercepted Myra, signaling that he had something important to discuss.
"What's going on?" Myra asked, genuinely curious about Thomas's sudden need for a private conversation.
"I just wanted to say that you shouldn't get too close to Dylan," Thomas revealed, his expression serious. Myra felt a pang of confusion as even Dylan's best friend warned her against him. "Trust me, it's safer."
Before Myra could delve deeper into Thomas's warning, her attention was diverted by Dylan's entrance into the cafeteria. The conversation was abruptly cut short, leaving Myra with lingering questions.
Back at the table, Dylan joined them with a casual greeting. Myra, sensing Dylan's intent to engage in conversation, quickly turned to Ashley, initiating a discussion to avoid Dylan's company.
Switching gears, Myra brought up a topic that had been on her mind. "About your telekinesis, I've had some ideas," she said, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Like what?" Ashley inquired, intrigued by the prospect of new possibilities.
"Yeah, I was thinking perhaps you could carry your own projectiles," Myra suggested, her mind already exploring the potential applications.
"Daggers," Ashley exclaimed, her excitement mirroring Myra's. "Or even bullets."
