Code and Consequence

Emily opened her eyes with hopes that this time her body would move , So she started by testing her left hand raising it, luckily it did move, She stood up and looked around,for the First time she was now conscious to her surroundings .

'Where am I , what is this place , wasn't I in my room seconds ago, what is happening ', she rhetorically asked these questions to herself like someone would reply even though she knew she was alone in this weird places,with black skies but still the environment was not dark, with trees of different shapes and sizes, mostly resembled those of where she was from but some seem like the work of a gifted tree shaper, some trees were shaved and shaped as errows ,some as question marks and some just mere square but with perfect precision.

She sauntered around out of curiosity, with her mind confused, with an uncertainty of how she felt, she didn't understand if she was feeling scared, excited or intrigued, but she just wanted to know where she was . As she moved around looking left and right as she walk through the valley full of peculiar trees."Hello, someone out here ?", She shouted, though the placed seem as though no one has been around for a very long time she did not know if she shouted for someone to show up ,or to feel comfort in her voice , but again she sure knew that she didn't feel comfortable with a stranger showing up in such a weird place.

It has been a couple of minutes sauntering around looking for anything she could not find strange but familiar with and ask for some help or something,but nothing at all seem normal in this place, a minute ago if not two she stumbled upon a pair of floating curved brackets ,She ran for her life ofcourse, she didn't think of anything a pair of brackets could do to her but...why should brackets be floating in the middle of no where? ... , "Whoosh!" , Something passed behind her while lost in her thoughts , She turned around but saw nothing, she was certain something passed behind because she had a whooshing sound. "Who was that ? ,I mean no harm ,I just want help, don't know where I am nor how I came here", Something was behind a tree shaved like an error , Emily was nervous, but with her been a little bit brave ,she took a step forward to the tree , "Whoa!!! Whoa!! , Don't you dare move any closer or I will abort you", The tone of whatever that was behind was not so alarming or not even close to sounding dangerous that Emily calmed down and took another step forward ,"Calm down , come out I wont hurt you".

Emily took another step towards the tree even when she was uncertain about what she was doing."No, I wont come out ,you look weird and we kill weird things , like bugs ".Emily was not close to the tree but she was not sure if she should put her face in the tree to see who was behind ,"Hahaha , wait till you see a floating pair of brackets ,maybe then you might think I am what is weird around here"She uttered these words with her left hands trying to grab the branch of the tree ... "Wait a minute! ,Wait! ,Did you just say floating brackets? " The strange figure was out behind the tree ,it was nolonger hidden as it asked Emily about the floating brackets ,"Emily ,ohh wait!,wait over there don't come close to me or I'll scream " The figure took a step closer and Emily took a single step back. "I said don't come closer , I promise you ,I will scream", The figure smiled and it took another step towards Emily,Emily screamed. Then a second later another figure showed up holding a stick at the end of the stick there was a red stone ,"I have a weapon and I am not afraid to use it". The figure came running then suddenly it slowly decreased it's pace when approaching Emily, "Whoa ,what is this , Bash!,what the hack is this?" It pointed it's stick with a red stone to Emily who now seems not scared but insulted , "I don't know Python,I don't know , Whatever it is ,it is crazy ,it just told me it saw a SCANF". Emily was disturbed , confused ,not-scared , insulted, as she stood there watching two strange figures that looked like human but not at all human because they had weird eyes that looked nothing more like zeros and a mouth that is human-like . "Bash !,that is impossible,you know right? We haven't seen that in like forever and you believe this - this thing when it tells you that it has just seen a SCANf?", The figure with a stick was so insulting and rude to the other figure close to the tree that it showed to be the one in charge, Emily did not know what to say or do ,she didn't even know whether she should breath, the only thing she did was ,RUN. Emily ran and ran with her heart beating fast but it seems she was not fast enough to outrun the two figure because they were now in front of her . "Where do you think you are going ,THING!" ,Emily interrupted Python,the figure with a stick built like a human yet it's head looked like a Capitalized alphabets P, "First of all ,I am not a THING. secondly, you are the only things that is weird around here. "THING ,I don't care what you are ,I want you to tell me about the floating bracket you say you saw and where did you see it?".Python was now close to Emily grabbing her hand, Emily tried to escape the grip but let us just say ,she ended up by just trying. "Python,Let her go man, let her speak freely" the skinny but tall figure built like an aphrostophy mark ordered Python, "Bash you know you do not tell me what to do ,right? " Bash slouched, "Right bash?" Python let go of Emily and approached Bash ."Yes Python,i know , sorry" , Emily was trying to sneak away as the two strange figure argued , but the attention flew directly to her , "Right ,THING ,I asked you a question,tell me about the floating brackets" , Emily was nervous but she also knew she did not like this weird figure holding the stick, not because of it's peculiarity but because of it's rudeness. Back home, she knew a boy like this, and his kind are always bullies. "What more can I say about a bracket,if it's not the fact that it floats on just mere air?" . Python took a step towards Emily ,"Am I supposed to answer that?", Looking straight right into Emily's eyes, who now was burning inside.She wanted to hit this figure close to her with a hot slap but didnt know where she would run to if she did , "Should I ,THING?" . Emily did not really think much, her hands flew directly to the cheek of the figure with a stick and it landed on its right cheek. "Whoah ,That THING is feisty, I suggest you abort it right now Python!" Bash suggested as he laughed at what had just happened, "Bash!!" , Python looked back at Bash , who now was moving back ,"Sorry for telling you what to do ,man" ...Emily was now burning she was so mad and wanted to just make Python disappear at the spot, "Wow THING ,I see you are brave ,Now ,I will make you a deal ,If you tell me about floating brackets, I'll let what you just did to slide" Python smiled as he said this to Emily hoping she would say no,so he can abort him. "Fine , 'Python' ...if you stop calling me THING ,maybe - just maybe i can tell you what you want to know" ,Emily folded her arms looking straight into Python's eyes who was not looking annoyed as he had no choice but to consider Emily's conditions . "FINE , What are you ? " , Python was now sulking, "Not what,but who ...I am Emily Witshop and i am a human" , Python's stick dropped and Bash came in the middle of Emily and Python,he started examining Emily closely, until Emily slapped Bash's hands as they were starting to touch her breast . "Impossible, impossible! ,It can't be, A human ? ,Here?..." , Bash's jaw dropped as he was confused and did not know what to say,the only thing he could do was put his hands on his strange head , "I wish i was not human ,but unfortunately, I am human and that is all i am." , Python did not say a word for a minute and finally he jumped out of trance , "That will explain the floating brackets you saw ,they are not just brackets they are called SCANF , they are an invitation from Mother C , if you see one ,then that means you are allowed to enter Code Academy. "Whoa! ,Too much info , my mind is blowing right now , you mentioned C? And your name is Python?",Emily points at Python who was surprised what she is heading to ,"Then your friend here is Bash?" She pointed at Bash , "Whoooooaaaaa!!!! I think I need to catch a breathe..." Emily was spinning and acting all crazy ,"Python man ,I think we should get far away from this Emily thing , because usually when things gets like this ,they Explode,Explode ,man!" , This was the first and probably the only time Python listened to Bash ,as he was now starting to run far away from Emily who seem to be lost in her weird excitement . "Whoaaaa...You guys are the programming languages and I am guessing I am in a digital universe " Emily turned around as she said this , but Python and Bash where no where to be seen as they have ran away. "Bash ,have you heard an exploding sound yet?" Python was hiding behind a tree with Bash,"No Python,I have heard nothing ". Emily was now creeping on them behind the tree, "No ,no please do not come close I do not want to die, Human" Bash screamed as he saw Emily approaching their hide spot, with Python blocking and defending himself by Bash. "Relax I won't kill you ,I just put two and two and you just are programming languages " Emily said this with her two arms stretched out pointing Python and Bash with a smile on her face. "Huh! " Bash and Python uttered the word in unison as they were perplexed by what Emily had just said "What did you just called us HUMAN" ,Emily was still smiling because she believed she had met the actual programming language and nothing could change her belief not even someone waking her up proving this to be a dream. "Firstly, Python -Py ,wait can i call you Py? " Python was about to speak but he was still too scared to approach Emily for he still believe she might explode , and also because Emily was so excited that she interrupted him , "Okay ,Py... Firstly, as I was saying I am human yes ,but call me Emily , Secondly, Icalled you Programming languages because that is what you guys are, Oh oh ,can i meet C ,the famous mother of all languages? ,Whoa ,i wonder how she is ,wait is she a she? Wait yeah she is , because if she is not then that would contradict the whole "mother" thing and we shall have to change it to 'father of Programming ' " . Bash and Python were the ones trying to sneak away as Emily was madly uttering words that was not even clear as she was too excited. "Ay ,where do you think you guys are going? " . Python turned and folded his arms "Look Emily or whoever you are , please do whatever you were doing before we stumbled upon you ,and we will also pretend as if we didn't meet you and mind our business " , He then turned and smiled for it seemed like Emily was not going to follow them ,"Wow ,She is one mad thing ,ain't she?". "I can hear you, i am not mad." Emily had sneaked behind them as they walked."Guys ,come on ...I dont even know what this place is ,i dont know where to go ,where are you guys going,can i come with you?" ,"No" They shouted in unison and Emily did not seem to mind them as she was already asking them which direction they are heading. Both Python and Bash's dropped, showing they have succumbed to the annoyance they mistakenly stumbled upon.

"Okay Human ,we will go with you as long as you promise not to say anything that sounds crazy " Python emphasized the word CRAZY. "And please Emily ,don't dance ,I don't wanna die" Bash added walking far from Emily who was flummoxed by Bash's request ,but she did not say anything,"Okay,I promise" .

They walked a distance with Emily fighting the urge of not asking a bunch of questions that were floating in the ventricle of her mind , She decided it was best if she just analyze both these two living programming languages , She kept looking at them strangely from head to toe , curious of how this is possible,she had a doubt that this might all be a dream but she seen it best that she could just enjoy the moment ,Dream or no dream. "What !" Python jumped as Emily was now an inch away from his head, analysing him , " Sorry Py ,I am just amazed,you look so so alive " . Python was now annoyed and he didn't hide it , "Look ,I don't like you so stop calling me Py and stop moving your pipe hole " ,Emily was still excited,as he was now near Bash ."Hey Bash,what's your favorite game? ,Bash started to get estactic as he answered Emily ,"ohh ohh ,I love Chess!" .Emily frowned ,"ohh so sad I thought you'd say BASH-ketball" .She started to laugh hard with Bash confused ,"ohh I waited so long to meet you and try this pun on you" .Bash started laughing so hard with Python getting more annoyed. "That is actually funny Emily", bash loved Emily's joke."Bash !" Python started shouting at Bash and Bash apologized with Emily frowning, "What a party popper" .

They walked a long way with nothing different other than weird trees , mountains with actual triangle shapes. "How long will we walk ,I am getting tired Py", Python ignored Emily and continued walking and they all proceeded to walk in silence at last with Emily breathing so loud at some point Bash asked her if she was running . Emily started seeing a huge building and he patted Python asking him to take a stop on that building."Human that is where we are heading". He pushed Emily away since he was now so bored ."Human , Welcome to Code Academy" Bash put his arm on Emily's shoulder showing her the place with his arm and Emily was out of words with the beautiful and uniqueness of the building as she was approaching it that the only word he uttered was ,"WOW!".
