(XLIX) Ambushed

Ichiko darted forward, landing on the overpass with a gust of wind surrounding her, yet she saw no one nearby, only an abandoned sniper rifle resting against the ledge of the highway.

"Tch!" She clicked her tongue, grabbing the rifle and pulling it over her shoulder by the strap before she backflipped off the overpass. She unleashed a volley of wind slashes as she flipped upright, destroying the support pillar. 

The overpass crumpled and collapsed in front of her as she landed on the street below, turning as she spun her katana around, sliding it into its sheath. 

She looked around her surroundings but noticed nothing unusual with the destroyed buildings. She crouched down, raising one arm behind her while bending her other arm in front of her. 

A cyclone of wind emerged from beneath her feet, growing stronger as the gusts of wind escaped, slowly encasing her before she was shot high into the air.
