Epraim looked away, refusing to meet Vienne's eyes because he knew she was right.
Not only did he get himself injured by fighting the shorty who suddenly popped up and targeted Edna while he was questioning her, but he also indirectly let her escape.
"Cat got your tongue?" she said as she tapped his knee once.
"At least you're tougher than you look," she said as she stood and eyed the back of his shoulder covered with a cloth soaked in blood.
She removed the padding roughly so she groaned. "Be gentle with that at least. I'm the one paying you," he said.
"Why? Does it hurt? It's your fault though." She poured clean water on a fabric and wiped the surrounding area of the flesh she stitched together earlier when he just came back.
"If you're not going to monitor them properly, then just head to the hospital. I'll handle things here," she said as her low voice was carried by the wind.
