Chapter 149

Epraim's heart hasn't been at peace ever since he saw Edna again, so he feels guilty because he only wanted to feel that way toward Sonia. 

Besides, because he knew, she was one of the causes of Sonia's pain and misery then, he wanted to eliminate her now.

However, something was preventing him from doing that. 

As he thought of what to do about her after he extracted the information he wanted, thoughts of nurturance and care seemed to arise in his mind too. 

He wasn't sure if it was because she reminded him of the pet bird he used to take care of back then, or if it was because he thought she was still unwell after he rescued her in the water so now he felt responsible for overseeing her return to top condition.

Edna watched as Epraim tugged on his locks repeatedly.

'Why does he seem bothered?'

'From the way he questioned me, it seems like he's aware of the existence of the organization.'

'Just who is he?'
