Section 88: Tracking

The sunshine was bright and warm, the wind blew softly.

Li Yawei bathed in the sunlight for a good while before turning to Shen Yue and saying, "All these years, I've rarely basked in the sun like this. Strange, isn't it?"

She raised her head to look at the sky, but tears started to silently roll down from the corners of her eyes

Looking at the profile of Li Yawei's face, Shen Yue agreed with her sentiments, "It is indeed a bit strange."

Li Yawei rubbed her eyes, stealthily wiping away the tears from her cheeks. She then turned her gaze to Shen Yue and asked with a smile, "You guys were hired as bodyguards by my mother, right?"

"You could say that," Shen Yue answered, noting a subtle shift in Li Yawei's tone whenever she mentioned Cui Xin'ai. Li Yawei had always refused to acknowledge Cui Xin'ai as her mother.

What caused this change in Li Yawei?

"So, you guys will stay with me all the time, right?" Li Yawei asked with a hopeful look.
