A complete nobody from Aldeia do Som knowing who the Otokage is, being that he tries to be mysterious was a surprise, but at the end of the day that wasn't my problem.
I collected all the equipment and what little money these assholes had and managed to gather a little over a hundred thousand ryo.
Still not having anything to do with the bodies, I took off their clothes, tore off their fingers and cut off their faces and gathered them all into a pile and continued with my mission.
This mission was being more of a headache than I would have liked.
Waiting until dawn, I made the delivery and left towards Konoha.
When I arrived in front of the Hokage's building I was greeted with the door closed, the day had already ended, no need to deliver my mission today.
Tired, hungry and with almost no money I found myself heading to Ichiraku.
Instead of the old man, Ayame was taking care of the kiosk.
"Welcome!" – she greeted excitedly.
I smiled despite my tiredness, she looked at me without knowing anything that was going through my head.
"A miso please." – I asked gently.
My eyes never left hers, I was making a connection.
Ayame blinked a few times and blushed, immediately getting to work without even answering me.
"I didn't know the famous Kai frequented Ichiraku." a familiar voice sounded from the entrance.
Turning my head I saw the owner of the voice with a sneer.
Naruto looked at me as if I were the reason for the fourth shinobi war.
"If someone as esteemed as the fourth Hokage's son frequents this place like a commoner like me, you might as well miss out on such a delicacy." I replied in my most respectable tone.
Which didn't help much because the shithead didn't like me at all for making him waste time learning Fuijutsu.
"Hoy! Ayame-nee, three miso for me and let me pay for his." – he shot.
"Hai Hai!" – she replied immediately.
Knowing what was coming ahead I took a deep breath.
"I just got back from a mission and I don't plan on missing tomorrow's class with your mom." – I said, turning my attention back to Ayame.
The clothes may not be very flattering for her, but the way she cooked had a grace that I have rarely seen in my many reincarnations.
"Sakura-chan just recovered from the mission we had in the Land of Waves and I made an appointment with her tomorrow. I'm helping you here, the fairest thing is to help me too." he said trying to convince me.
It seems that this expression has become my spiritual mantra for the last two days.
"It's not my problem, Uzumaki-sama, I can't afford to miss one of Kushina-sensei's classes." I replied.
Naruto preferred that everyone call him by his name because he thought that this way people would feel closer to him and help him when he ascended to Hokage. He also hated that I used his mother's name, for the pure fact that he thought I should be more respectful and even that I should give up the Fuijutsu classes.
Despite the many times that Kushina hits him on the head when he acts like a child during class, at the end of the day he is a mama's boy who grew up protected and getting everything he ever wanted.
"I can make it your problem, my dear Kai." – he threatened.
Shaking my head I couldn't help but laugh.
"With the connections that sensei has, it won't take long for her to discover the whole story and you would be putting our dear Ayame in trouble by making her have to tell our conversation. She will have to lie or tell sensei that you traded her for a date with Sakura-chan." I said, dividing my attention between him and Ayame.
As expected Ayame froze briefly before going back to work like there was no tomorrow.
Naruto in turn made an ugly face. Kushina is somewhat dramatic when it comes to him.
The conversation died there.
Soon our orders were delivered and we started eating.
He ate quickly as always. Naruto was a bottomless pit who swallowed his food without barely chewing, but his physique was so strong that he never even had a stomach ache from food.
I on the other hand took my time, when he finally finished the third bowl I finished my first.
Not wanting to stay in my presence for long, he paid and quickly left.
"I'll pay mine." – I said to Ayame.
A half smile appeared on her face.
"Naruto is a good boy, he just likes Sakura too much. I'm sure he didn't mean it." – Ayame tried to defend him.
"I know that, but I don't like owing anyone anything." – I replied friendly.
Along with the money I left a piece of paper with my address.
When she saw that she was confused.
"If you're not doing anything after you close the tent." I shot with my best smile.
Ayame turned red as a pepper.
Before she recovered I ran out of the tent.
The chances of her appearing are slim, but who knows, I can teach her a trick or two.
