Allen's gaze shifted to the three men lying on the ground, the first to rise was Thor.
"I owe you a lot. I wouldn't have the courage to return to Asgard if I allowed you to go in this direction," Thor said.
Allen remained silent, not understanding Thor's words. What direction was the Thunder God referring to? Allen was simply about to kill another one of these flesh-eating zombies, and a very dangerous one at that, from what he observed.
Thor attacked Allen again; he didn't have his hammers, but he was still a god. Allen effortlessly deflected Thor's first blow, and Thor continued attacking while Allen effortlessly dodged those attacks with his palm.
"You taught me the meaning of being worthy, you let my brother go even when you had the right to kill him!"
"Incomprehensible. What are you trying to achieve? Do you want to protect that zombie?" Allen retorted.
"No!" shouted Thor
Allen punched Thor in the face, then in the abdomen, making him fall to his knees.
Allen looked coldly at Thor. "Then what do you want to achieve?"
Thor smiled with blood in his mouth. "I think I'm starting to understand what I'm trying to achieve, hehe."
Allen was annoyed by Thor's comment and kicked him to the ground.
Tony charged at Allen but couldn't budge him. Allen used his palm on Tony's shoulder, pushing him back slowly. Tony activated boosters on his back for more power, but it seemed futile.
"I know you, Tony. You're not a perfect hero. The first thing you did as Iron Man was fly to the Middle East and kill terrorists..."
"I'm not trying to be one... I am aware of the shit person I am!" Tony replied.
Tony deployed a cannon from his arms; Allen crushed it with his hands and tore them off Tony's Prime armor.
"I'm not trying to impose anything on others. I wouldn't have the nerve to point out others' flaws because I'm quite an idiot myself!" said Tony with a frustrated look on his face.
"Huh?" Allen looked at Tony in confusion, why was he fighting?
"That's why I can't say anything in this situation! That's why I can only endure, hoping that someone else will act or that you realize it!"
Allen punched Tony's chest, breaking part of his armor, then threw him away. Tony's and Thor's words made Allen reflect on what he had done so far.
He killed Sentry, but Sentry planned to consume the universe and then do the same to all the universes he could touch. Galactus was an apocalypse, there was no doubt he wanted to destroy the Earth.
Allen looked at Hank Pym, who remained silent this time, he didn't smile, but his gaze showed pride. That look irritated Allen; he could simply kill him from his current position.
Allen still didn't know Hank Pym in his universe, but this version definitely wasn't a decent person. In Allen's eyes, he wasn't worth exchanging words with.
...
A shadow appeared over Allen; looking up at the sky, it was Hulk falling like a meteorite.
Rebecca turned into a doll and disappeared. Thor and Tony backed away; Hank couldn't move and could only stay put.
The impact of the Hulk falling onto a ki barrier made by Allen destroyed what was left of New York; everything was destroyed, and the only things left standing were the buildings behind Galactus's colossal body.
Allen looked at Hulk; Hulk's thoughts should be simpler, but apparently, not even Bruce knew what Hulk's actions were about. Allen shook his head and prepared to render Hulk unconscious.
"...!"
Allen's eyes changed from purple to blue; he had reached the limit of the power of the god of destruction.
Allen was surprised; he had been so focused that he forgot about the time limit.
"You could have warned me..."
[Sorry, host, I didn't realize.]
Allen suspected the system but said nothing. Hulk wasn't an idiot; he noticed Allen's change. He remained powerful, but no longer oppressively so.
Allen had become weaker!
"HULK SMASH!!"
Allen stopped the attack that could have destroyed the entire state with ease. Then he grabbed Hulk's face.
"Dismantle!"
Hundreds of cuts attacked Hulk, but Hulk's regeneration prevented more serious damage. Allen scoffed. "Don't forget that I improved all my fighting skills to face Superman Prime."
Allen punched Hulk's stomach with the same force as before, but this time, he seemed to struggle to reach the power level needed to make Worldbreaker Hulk vomit with one blow.
Tony and Thor arrived simultaneously, so Allen decided to retreat. Not because he needed to, but now that the time limits were approaching, he couldn't waste time playing around.
His gaze swept everywhere, looking for Hank Pym; he found him crawling five miles away.
Allen looked at the trio, bleeding and exhausted, but they didn't seem to give up on anything in the world. Allen decided to ignore them and disappeared.
"Wait, Allen!" Tony shouted.
"Damn it!"
"Hulk won't let a friend be a monster!"
Hulk's words almost stopped Allen. 'Monster? Me?' Allen couldn't understand why they would think that. He had done enough to make it clear that wouldn't happen.
Allen dismissed useless thoughts and turned his gaze to Hank, he disappeared, but in front of him appeared Rebecca.
"Rebecca!" scolded Allen, startling Rebecca, but she gave him an uncomfortable look. "Darling, I don't want it to happen again!" She had no intention of stopping Allen but felt that she should hinder him a bit. "Just listen for a moment!" Rebecca pleaded, her voice strained. It hurt her more than if she were beaten, but she was afraid Allen would break.
"Enough is enough what's wrong with you all?!" Allen lost his patience and exploded.
...
"Ah~ I saw something very interesting," the pleasant voice of an unfamiliar woman entered everyone's ears. "However, everyone here is terrible at speaking~, or maybe it's their feelings that prevented them from analyzing the situation coldly?"
Many chains emerged from the ground, restraining Allen. This surprised Allen, was there someone else he hadn't noticed?
"Makima?..."
"Ara~ you're too calm. I guess my chains can't stop you?~"
Allen's eyes widened as he saw a young, attractive woman with long reddish-brown hair tied back, her amber eyes seemed intimidating due to her unique pupil-type characteristic of hers.
The woman was Makima from Chainsaw Man. She was dressed elegantly in a black office suit and tie. She had an imposing presence, even in this situation, managing to make everyone stop in their tracks.
"I..."
Before she could speak, shadows enveloped her in the same way she enveloped Allen. The person responsible floated between Allen and Makima.
"Wednesday?" Allen frowned; this situation was becoming increasingly chaotic.
Allen knew Makima; she was extremely intelligent, manipulative, and calculating. She had supernatural abilities that allowed her to control other beings, especially through contracts and pacts.
She was a demon, and not just any demon, she was one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the demon of control.
Allen sighed, understanding that one of the dolls sleeping in his inventory had awakened and ventured out to see the world. Furthermore, she didn't appear until now, even though she saw all the events unfold.
===
Wednesday didn't intervene to stop Allen; she didn't interrupt him. For her, Allen could become Lucifer or be an apocalyptic monster, a hero, or whatever, and she wouldn't stop him. However, she also understood Rebecca's concern.
She hated Allen's smile at first and even felt a lot of displeasure being near him. She thought they would never get along, and it would be hard to find excuses not to kill him.
Unexpectedly, Allen entered her maiden soul, showing her that there was a dark form of love suitable for her, something fitting for her way of being.
Wednesday looked at Allen behind her, a decisive, firm man, willing to do anything, a man necessary to save a world like this.
He is the hero, the great savior, the man who can resolve any situation and danger. Even a doomed world could have a chance thanks to him.
But...
His eyes no longer have the shine they once did, and most of all, Allen doesn't smile, hasn't since he arrived.
That's okay...
No normal person would smile in this situation. Allen is just being strong, and when everything is over, he'll smile again. That's what everyone thinks, they understand, understand Allen.
His Chat isn't heartless enough to ask him to entertain them in this situation. They're fine with watching from a distance.
So what is this discomfort?
Wednesday understood it just now, while Makima smiled...
...
"These are just words from a humble servant, master," Makima said, trying to be respectful but failing due to her lack of expression.
"Makima... I don't have time for this," Allen grabbed the chain and broke it, then looked at Hank Pym.
"To kill... most people will never understand how costly it is for a person's heart, soul, and mind," Said Makima
"..." Allen stopped his movements.
Makima blinked with her beautiful, dangerous eyes that were fixed on Allen. "These are just my thoughts, don't pay attention to them. A bright young man is pushed to the brink of despair, with the only option to make difficult decisions one after another... he is forced to throw away his morals, ideals, ethics..."
"..."
"That's okay; he is strong, and he can do these things with a smile. Killing an enemy who is just a monster (*Darkseid*), killing a man out of mercy (*Superman*), killing a man to save him from himself (*Sentry*), and killing a monster who openly declared he would destroy the world (*Galactus*)." Makima disappeared and appeared behind Allen, embracing him from behind, but there was no affection or romance in this action. "I understand, everyone understands, this is an inevitable action and even worthy of admiration..."
Makima's whisper was like that of a snake. Wednesday appeared with a crossbow aimed at her, and Rebecca also appeared with her shotgun.
Makima ignored them and only looked at Allen's neck as she brought her lips closer to his ears.
"But you know? Killing a man who doesn't resist, even if he's just a monster, is simply an execution..."
Allen's eyes widened, and so did everyone else's because they were so emotionally involved and because they all thought that killing Hank Pym was something natural.
No one realized that Allen was about to kill an undefended man who wasn't even trying to defend himself.
That wasn't to protect someone, It was not to stop a tragedy, it was simply killing. Allen looked at his hands as his breathing quickened.
"I I'm..."
Makima smiled from behind as she closed her eyes slightly. "I truly came to a very interesting place, master."
With those words, Makima disappeared...
Allen breathed several times as he looked around. Rebecca was frustrated and hurt, and Allen knew what that girl had to go through to decide to stand in his way and "betray" him.
Wednesday sighed wearily; Allen didn't know how much stress he must have caused her.
Then he looked at Thor, Tony, and Hulk, bleeding and with several broken bones. Allen was ashamed of what he had done.
Lastly, Allen looked at his Chat, the endless messages stabbed at his heart. He would have wished this had not been broadcast, but he had to accept reality.
"I'm sorry; I think I lost sight of something very important..." a weak smile appeared on his face. "I don't think I'm perfect; I can't guarantee that I won't make mistakes or stray from the path. I just hope that next time, I won't have to beat someone up to recover!"
Tony, Thor, and Hulk complained and protested, Allen looked at the supportive messages from his girlfriends and close friends, as well as from his followers, and some mocked him for being dramatic or for almost losing his mind.
This time, Allen didn't complain about anything and swallowed all the insults.
