Six layers of security. The ship was a good one, but Bian wanted something even better.
He knew the rudimentary method of flying a spaceship, but the automatic flight A.I also came in handy.
After activating the high-tech camouflage, Bian set a destination for planet APX-706.
The green unicorn beetle was finally brought out after so long. It slowly began moving around and exploring the spaceship.
Bian only entertained it a little before he checked the Estimated Time of Arrival.
"One month, even with this much speed. Well its to be expected, I could always visit the sanctuary while I am not practicing."
With the hyperactive soul pillar in play, Bian felt like a genius. He only needed to look at a puzzle, before it was immediately solved.
He planned to use this state of clarity to open more gene locks. After all his fitness had recently taken a huge leap, so his open gene locks were lacking behind.
Jadeskin was no more, inner pillars could not advance at the moment with the sixth gene lock still active. That left only the dongxuan sutra.
In the solitude of space, Bian meditated on the dongxuan sutra for two weeks straight before finally opening the fifth gene lock.
With the fifth gene lock open, the Dongxuan Sutra user gets an eighth sense. Now, when Bian scans someone, he can get a feel for what the person is thinking. He could hear the thoughts of others, but only if the feelings of said person are strong and at the forefront of their minds.
This didn't apply on creatures like the green unicorn beetle, so Bian had no one to test his new powers on at the moment.
"Two whole weeks, there really is no shortcut for opening gene locks." Bian could only sigh. With Vitality drain, he no longer feared a slow increase in geno points.
The same couldn't be said about gene locks. There was no shortcut to opening them other than plain old hard work.
Bian was tempted to open one more gene lock before he reached the planet, but instead he opted to check in on the shelter.
He secured the green unicorn beetle, before using the teleporter to warp back to the sanctuaries.
"You're finally back!" Hope Spirit had a worried look on her face.
"What happened?" Bian glanced around the shelter, nothing seemed to be out of place.
"Once the shelter left the No Man's Forest, it couldn't maintain the camouflage any longer. The barrier is protective enough against sacred-blood flying creatures but I fear it won't stand against super creatures."
They were quite open to attacks from aerial super creatures. It wouldn't be a good time to leave the shelter.
Bian decided to spend two weeks here, to ensure no misshap cake upon the shelter while they were travelling. His geno tree and even the Strength Overlord were on board, he had too much at stake.
He never unsummoned the Ink Sun Dragon, it flew high above the shelter, unseen and quiet like a halo of protection.
"This is a good opportunity any way. I have fed the Strength Overlord so much life drops. It just needs a little push to become battle ready."
As the shelter was moving, Bian would release the Emperical Aura six times every day.
He was actively searching for any super creature or potent geno trees.
Days soon turned to a week with nothing special happening. Just as usual, Bian released the Emperical Aura, drowning the world in an unstoppable indigo light.
He could perceive everything touched by the light. If beasts died in it, their souls were absorbed by him. If spirits died when illuminated, they were killed off permanently. Bian was quite satisfied with his super body.
He picked up on a bug, burrowing under the ground. As the light continued spreading, he sensed more and more bugs.
'At least ten thousand.' And the number was still increasing. Then the light went over a creature hidden in the ground.
It had the upper body of a beetle, but the lower body of a snake and the stinger of a scorpion, it was as though it came out of hell itself. Irritated by the indigo light, the creature let out a shriek, commanding all the bugs to surface and search for the source of the light.
The bugs saw the massive shelter approaching in the distance. The back of their shells opened, revealing a thin almost transparent wing.
BUZZ!
A great swarm of bugs flew towards the shelter looking like a golden river. Hope Spirit and her siblings were terrified by the sight.
Bian watched as the bugs caught up to a serpentine blue bird which was flying away and devoured it is seconds.
[Sacred-blood Creature Sky Serpent Killed. The beast soul has been acquired. Eat the flesh of the Sky Serpent to gain 0 to 10 sacred geno points randomly.]
"That bird didn't even have a chance to fight back. Those must be drones controlled by a super beast." Bian stood up, summoning the silver atlatl.
He prepared some blood quills, while mentally controlling the Ink Sun Dragon to move to the mother beast position.
Once it was killed, all it's offspring would follow suit. If possible, he wouldn't want to disintegrate it, but he didn't have the fitness to fight super beasts just yet. Using jadebody was his last resort, as it would leave him weakened afterwards.
"Here comes the first one." Bian would have to hold them back before the Ink Sun Dragon was in position. He was also waiting for the creature to enter the range of his Dongxuan Aura so he could observe its life flow.
With a flick of his wrist, he propelled the blood quill from the silver atlal. It flew like a jet of spinning water, piercing the tough carapace of the bug with some difficulty.
[Super Creature Vermin Devil King killed. The beast soul has been acquired. The flesh is inedible. Eat the Life Geno Essence to gain 0 to 10 super geno points randomly.]
After Bian killed that initial bug, all the other bugs immediately fell to the ground as though they perished with it. Even the mother in the distance died off, before it could get too close.
"For real! Did the Emperical Aura do this?" Bian thought his emotions were gone, but now he knew he was mistaken. They were merely dampened.
The shock of what just happened was still vivid in his mind. The mother dissolved leaving a golden life essence behind.
Bian was unprepared for what just happened. It was too far away so he was yet to scan the life force of the Vermin Devil King and thus could not absorb the life essence.
After some more reasoning, Bian concluded that the Emperical Aura, didn't simply kill off one's parent and their offspring. Instead it seemed to bring death by proxy.
If a person used an avatar and that avatar was killed in the Empirical Aura, death would be transferred to the person, just like with spirits and their spirit stone.
"This is exactly what I need." Bian couldn't help but smirk as he retrieved the life essence. Although he couldn't absorb it, he had learnt of another use for the Emperical Aura.
"How did you do that?" Love spirit asked. She looked completely human just like Hope Spirit but both had an irresistible charm and hour glass figure humans couldn't possible possess.
"Does it matter. Let's keep going." Bian didn't mean to be rude, but some things were better left unsaid.
The shelter kept moving towards one of the points on the compass, each step covering over a kilometer. They moved at frightening speeds, but were transversing a large land.
"Water coming up" Faith spirit called the attention of the crew. Bian looked at the enormous body of water ahead.
"The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. If we take a detour, our journey may be elongated by months." Bian looked towards Hope Spirit, waiting for a confirmation.
"The shelter has no issue moving underwater, the barrier will prevent the water from reaching us." Hope Spirit was controlling the shelter, so she was quite familiar with its capabilities.
"The issue isn't the water, but the creatures dwelling in it." Faith spirit chipped in.
"With less sunlight, the Ink Sun Dragon will be weakened in the water. After an attack, it has to leave to recharge again.
Additionally the chance of encountering super creatures in water is higher than in the air." Bian looked slightly gloomy.
He would have to put the exploration of the planet on hold while watching over the shelter as it moved under water.
On the bright side, more super creatures equaled more strength for him and the Strength Minotaur.
Splash!
The giant, stony leg of the shelter descended into the water. Step by step, the water level began rising until it eventually covered the dome at the top of the shelter where Bian and his entourage resided.
It was similar to an aquarium, a very large aquarium. Different aquatic life were swimming about in the blue waters.
Step by step, the shelter walked closer to the deeper parts of the ocean.
