Its my first time touching it

"That's the twelfth one this week. Was I scammed?" It had been one week since Bian killed the Blood Thorn Beast. With the use of the Dongxuan Sutra, they avoided all the dangerous creatures they encountered, which meant they avoided all the creatures they encountered.

Most beasts moved as a group, this made it difficult for Bian to hunt them. After absorbing the Blood Devil Beast, his mutant geno points had actually surpassed his primitive geno points and they were both below forty. He only had 28 water drops left, which was only enough to water all the plants once.

"Its because of the blood. The Scent Eraser is getting consumed faster because some blood had dried in your hair. It is too difficult to mask the stench of blood." Hope Spirit said. When Bian killed the Blood Thorn Beast, some of its blood poured on his hair.

Bian already thought this might be the case, he wondered where he might find a stream to rinse off the blood from his head in a forest. 'Looks like I don't have much of a choice.'

With a sigh, Bian briefly excused himself from the group. In the next second, he cast the Emperical Aura, drowning the world in a weird hue. The Indigo light travelled far and wide, penetrating through the ground and the trees, nothing could hide from its scan.

Bian could clearly 'see' every object touched by the light. As the light continued to spread, he noticed a pond with a silver Archerfish lying in wait. The Archerfish shot out a jet of water from its mouth, killing a bird high in the sky.

After twelve seconds, the indigo aura retreated at the speed of light back into Bian's body. This was much faster than how fast it was spreading.

'What just happened. I got a beast soul, without even lifting a finger.' Bian quickly stifled down the laugh that was building up.

He went to Hope Spirit and explained the situation about the pond and the Silver Archerfish, leaving out the part about him getting a beast soul. Judging from its lifeforce, it was a sacred-blood creature. Unfortunately, Bian had no way to tell the number of gene locks it had opened.

"I'll be right back" Bian said to Hope Spirit, entrusting her to protect the Bone Tamus while he was gone.

He approached the pond and squatted down to drink some water from it. The next second, a thick pillar of water rushed out from the calm surface of the lake blasting him into the air. The impact of the water jet was strong, but it wasn't penetrative.

The Silver Archerfish, which was a little bit bigger than Bian, sensed that his lifeforce had depleted. It excitedly leaped into the air, aiming to swallow him in one bite.

"That freaking hurt!" Bian maneuvered mid-air and grabbed unto the fish. He used ghost haunt to fasten himself unto its body, while stabbing its gills repeatedly with the green dagger.

The Silver Archerfish squirmed in pain, flipping its body wantonly to throw Bian off. By the time they landed in the pond, Bian had already stabbed the fish over a dozen times and had drawn a large amount of blood from it.

'That's enough from the dagger.' Bian unsummoned the green dagger and dug his hand into the bloody gills of the fish. He used Vitality Drain on it rapidly absorbing blood from its system.

The Silver Archerfish felt blood leaving its system and sped up greatly causing Bian to close his eyes in the water. It began swimming against the rocky surface of the pond, destroying Bian who was holding unto its back.

Bian yelped in pain as his clothes were burnt off, he felt as though his back was on fire. He had to carefully move his pants to avoid damaging them too much.

The Silver Archerfish had a solid plan grating Bian against its back while remaining underwater. Unfortunately for it, Bian had dongxuan sutra which allowed him to breathe underwater.

His skin had also been modified by the jadeskin, making it look like jade but it was much tougher. Jadeskin could no longer open genlocks and now depended on his fitness which was rapidly rising thanks to the Silver Archerfish.

The Silver Archerfish slowed down in the pond, it had lost a lot of its bodily fluids needed to combat the pressure of the water. If it remained in the pond, the water pressure would kill it as Bian continued to absorb from it. Pushing aside its weakness, it summoned the last of all its power to launch itself into the air, plummeting towards the ground outside the pond.

Bian landed on the floor with a thud, taking the brunt for the both of them. This actually dealt less damage than the fish's earlier assault.

The resistance of the Silver Archerfish was all but gone, after a few more seconds of futile struggling it was completely shriveled up and passed away.

A huge success, Bian threw the husk that wasn't even half his size off him. Fishes had more fluid in their system to combat the osmotic pressure of the water. Vitality Drain was actually crazy enough to absorb even the fluids that had been bonded on an intercellular level.

'Scary!' Bian promised in his heart never to let this art see the light of day. It was just too dangerous.

He rinsed himself off in the pond and made his way back to Hope Spirit. It wasn't until he saw her gazing at his bare body, that his mood soured. If he had not taken care, his pants would have also been pulverized leaving him completely nude.

'Damned Silver fish.' Bian cursed the silver fish in his heart. He also decided not to hunt fish, even though he could get more points from them. Fighting a fish in the water was still beyond him.

"Are you alright?" As Hope Spirit worriedly touched his chest, Bian couldn't help but recoil in pain. The water pillar he had tanked initially had inflicted the most damage on him.

He had to cast Aero at the last moment to jump back, going along with the motion of the pillar to reduce the brunt of the attack. Even with his maneuver and jade-like skin, three of his ribs were broken and some of his organs were in disarray.

"I will be fine. I just need some time to recuperate." With his high fitness, his internal condition would stabilize in a day and his bones would reattach themselves in a couple of weeks.

Although the healing energy of the silver fox would not be effective on a surpasser like himself, it would reduce the time it took for his ribs to heal. He just had to avoid direct combat for a week or two and he would be in top notch condition.

Now that he had gotten the bloody smell out, the rate of consumption of the Scent Erasers would be greatly reduced. With Hope Spirit by his side to tend to the trees, they would also require less water drops.

'Now if only I had decent armor.' Bian aimed to hunt for a creature that would give an armor type beast soul. Then he remembered he had not checked the beast soul of the Silver Archerfish.

[Type of Beast Soul of Silver Archerfish; weapon.]

The weapon glistened with a smooth, metallic sheen. It is light but strong, perfectly balanced, with a slender, elongated form that seems to promise both speed and power. At one end, a small, curved hook glimmered, poised to grip something tightly.

Despite its elegant design, there's an unmistakable sense of purpose in its construction—a weapon crafted for precision and lethality, ready to extend the reach of its wielder far beyond what is normal.

"What is that?" Hope Spirit asked curiously.

Bian observed it a bit more before answering, "Its an atlatl, a tool designed to launch spears and heavy darts with deadly force and accuracy."

"But we don't have any spears or heavy darts, do we?" Her face fell, she continued speaking. "It also doesn't look like a conventional weapon. Can you use it?"

"For you first question, it is a beast soul and not a traditional weapon, it should be flexible enough to launch other objects. As for the second question, there is no weapon I can't use, I might just start of slow." Bian answered truthfully.

Bian picked up a blood quill and placed it in the groove of the atlatl. He lifted the atlatl over his shoulder with the quill aligned along its length. With a quick, snapping motion of his wrist, a water jet was launched towards a tree.

Inside the water jet was the quill travelling very fast. As soon as the water jet left the atlatl, the quill in it started spinning turning it into a spinning water bullet. It flew like a drill, missing the tree and imbedding itself into the ground.

"Interesting, so the spinning motion increases its speed but also affects its trajectory." Bian murmured.

Hope Spirit was barely able to contain herself, ready to start laughing. Bian picked up another quill and placed it in the groove of the atlatl. A transparent ring, only seen by him formed and rapidly shrunk turning into a dot in less than ten seconds.

Hope Spirit, seeing how serious he was, chose to kept quiet and watch him shoot again. The wind blew past Bian, ruffling his already hair. It blew down some leaves from the tree and Bian flicked his wrist.

A Spinning stream of water left the atlatl. It pierced a falling leave, then penetrated the tree behind it and still travelled some more to imbed itself deep into the earth.

Hope Spirit had her eyes wide open like saucers, she was so shocked by what she saw that her mouth remained open. Bian smirked at her reaction and helped her shut her jaw.

"Have you practiced the weapon before?" She asked, still flabbergasted by what she had just seen.

"Nope, its my first time touching it." Bian merely smiled.
