Bian would love to stick around to understand what exactly was going on, but he had grasped the core of the situation. The alliance was at war against the shura, where morality or justice didn't matter. Strength was the only way.
"I am too weak" Bian had a self-deprecating smile as he approached the surpasser. He picked up the black katana used by the shura. The hilt and the blade were both black, the edge of the blade was as long as the fire in a man's heart.
"At least I don't have to worry about having a decent weapon" Bian walked towards the teleporter. The security team who would inspect him were nowhere to be found, either dead or they ran towards the shelter. Bian unceremoniously stepped into the teleporter and with a swoosh was transported to the sanctuaries.
Just then, five beams of light descended from the sky as people. The five surpassers looked at the corpses around with a grim expression on their face. Their mood only brightened when they saw the dead shura.
"Did Storm do this?" One of the surpassers wondered. He heard a beckoning voice, swiftly appearing where it came from. He took in a breath of cold air, when he saw the gold-horned shura corpse.
"Is he dead?" The surpasser asked the other guy who was checking up on Storm. Thankfully their companion was alive but asleep. He couldn't fathom how Storm could defeat a team of five white-horned shura and a gold-horned shura all by himself. But the surveillance would reveal everything.
...
Bian gazed at moment shelter, unaware of the commotion his waking had caused. It was exactly as he left it, except the silver fox was missing. From fencing spirit Bian gained some insight on what was happening.
It had been over a year since he left. The silver fox, Man Tian and Han Yan had already evolved. Man Tian brought back another human, but she had left with her cat? Basically a lot happened in his absence and they had gone on to the third sanctuary without him.
'Since Man Tian found her and the orange cat, did he also find the ice fairy?' Bian couldn't help but wonder. He thanked fencing spirit then dismissed him back to his sea of soul. Bian couldn't help but worry when he looked inside.
The king chimera was slowly transforming back, but some of its eyes still glowed in that eerie green light. It was as if it didn't recognize him, which gave him quite the chills. He just hoped it wouldn't go berserk as long as he forbade it from transforming.
[Geno points acquired: 100 ordinary geno points; 100 primitive geno points; 100 mutant geno points; 100 sacred geno points; 80 super geno points]
Having almost maxed out his super gene points, Bian voyaged in search of more super creatures. He practiced sword skills with the black katana daily, growing accustomed to its weight and balance.
With a sigh, Bian turned around for the third time, heading back to the shelter. Without the golden growler travelling was too much of a hassle, not to mention he wasn't in his peak condition with multiple stitches holding him together.
"Two weeks and still no progress" Bian lamented to the fencing spirit, he didn't like the thought of spending months just to travel when the alliance was in such perilous times.
"If I may, why not leave through the teleporter. I will stand guard here and destroy it after you leave, so when you teleport back, you will appear in a different location" Fencing spirit said, ever so stoically.
"Hmm, that could work. But I wouldn't be able to recall you if I end up somewhere far away. If you were to die, it would truly be your end."
"I am more than willing to brave such danger."
Bian looked at fencing spirit in a new light, his white armor was slender and well padded protecting his vital organs. His face was strangely beautiful, revealing that he wasn't human. He had respect for fencing spirit? How strange.
With a nod, Bian gave fencing spirit what little beast souls he had left, including the wings of the thunderbird. "Don't die, that's an order." Bian stood on the teleporter and gave a salute before he was whisked away to the alliance.
Swoosh!
"Hey, he's the one."
"You there, wait!"
Bian just smiled at the security officers, the teleporters were made in such a way that after you evolve, you could teleport back to the sanctuaries immediately. There was no feasible way to catch someone stepping on the teleporter unless you knew exactly when they were teleporting out.
Without sparing them a second glance, he activated the emperical will for good luck and teleported back to the sanctuaries.
Clank! Clank!! Clank!!!
Blade faced off against blade as several men were engaged in a furious clash. The forest trees were stained in blood as the clash seemed to escalate, Bian walked out of wooden cabin, surprised by the battle.
'Classic humans, still in-fighting even during war against another species.' Bian shook his head in dismay.
"Grab the new guy" One man shouted. Several guys were about to approach Bian before their path was barred by a barrage of consecutive crossbows.
"Hey new guy, come with me!" A tall guy, with blue hair said. He was using a fully-automatic crossbow to stall the opposing forces.
"Zing?" Bian said in shock.
"Oh my.. Bian" Zing exclaimed.
Zing had been part of the first ever team he joined in the first sanctuary. Thinking back to his early days in glory shelter brought back some nostalgia.
Without delay, Bian went towards Zing and they promptly retreated from the battle field towards a mountain range. After Bian explained to Zing that he wasn't new to the second sanctuary but his teleporter got damaged, Zing also filled explained to him the precarious situation they had found themselves in.
Most of the members from the wingsiders got sent to the same location in the second sanctuary. They would have been unstoppable in this new terrain if not for another group who also got its main members sent together. The name of the group brought back more nostalgia to Bian.
The silver tongue mercenaries were a bunch of barbarians who lusted after power. One conflict led to another and now the two sides were fighting over resources, both creatures and people. Bian had met the silver tongue mercenaries while he was lost in the desert, they tried robbing him but he managed to escape by turning into the giant tiger.
They approached a mountain and while Zing used a pair of beast soul wings to glide up, Bian had to climb manually. The black katana was placed behind him, preventing any hindrance.
"What happened to you? Even Frankenstein would be ashamed" Zing glided beside Bian as they made their way up the mountain.
"Nothing too serious, I just died. So why are you fighting over resources, the forest is wide enough for the both of you." Bian said, ignoring the weird stare he got from Zing.
"It isn't as wide as it seems. This mountain is just one of many that forms a chain around this section of the forest."
"Why not venture outside?"
"Super creatures, a lot of em too. There is a sacred-blood beast that drops a pet type beast soul, hence the fight for resources in this small forest enclosed by a mountain chain."
So the mountains were more of a barrier to shield them from the dangers outside. The amount of resources a sacred-blood creature needed to evolve was enormous, Bian could attest to that. Not to mention once one side got a super beast soul pet, it spelt doom for the other side.
They finally reached the flat top of the mountain, a fortress had been built on its surface. Inside Bian met Gyu and some other members of the wingsiders he had not seen in a long, long time.
"I have heard of the situation, count me in" They all cheered at his response, which felt natural for Bian. He was once a wingsider and he also had bad blood with the silver tongues.
Before they prepared for battle, they chatted about their adventures and life journey so far. The setting sun, colored the world in a shade of dim yellow as they discussed their life journey over a meal.
...
On a large galactic traveler in space, a woman with short green hair was about waking up. Her eyebrows furrowed, and green light shone under her closed eyelid. She sat up and stretched lazily before dressing and making her way to the command center.
Several shura stopped to greet whenever they saw her, but she paid them no mind. Upon reaching the command center, she heard a rumor.
"An ambush actually failed, this is the first time the lady was wrong.." The white-horned shura hurriedly shut his trap once he saw who walked through the door. She already knew about the failed ambush on planet Subterranea which left her with three conclusions.
'One, there is someone out there other than me with decent temporal abilities. Although I highly doubt it.' She walked past the shura who were navigating the ship, her face as aloof as ever.
'Two, somebody with strong affinity for cause and effect. This is most likely the case, but my intuition tells me otherwise.' She sat on the central chair, observing the vast expanse of space, and swarms of shura working under her, even though she was the only human on the ship.
'Three, it's the anomaly.' Although Executioner Green had no proof of this, she was sure this was the right answer.
"Set a course for planet Subterranea" She didn't raise her voice but, she was heard by all the shura present. They Immediately prepared to warp through hyperspace, but as they passed by a planet, she noticed a gigantic spaceship the size of the earth's moon waiting in ambush.
Boom!
An explosion ensued but in space there was no noise, only silence.

She made her way to the central chair and gave out orders, "Set a course for planet Subterranea, but first stop the engines then warp immediately." The shura were already used to her seemingly out of place orders.
"You over there, send out our co-ordinates to Alpha Team Four. Tell them a destroyer space ship, is lying in ambush near the red planet." The shura should have been shocked by her words, but after several months, such things weren't new to him.
'Now I wonder, just what type of person could have killed Executioner Blue?' She smiled as the ship warped into hyperspace.
