Nest

Bian didn't actually have much beast souls to offer. He had a sacred-blood aquatic mount and a sacred-blood colossal sea snake shapeshifting beast soul, these were the only ones he was willing to offer.

Bian needed the original jade sun force and the location of a nearby nest from Zhu Ting. He also wanted to get in his good books.

"Aren't you tired of being at the bottom of the food chain?" Bian put his arm around Zhu Ting as he spoke.

As Zhu Ting contemplated the meaning of his words, Bian continued speaking "I've heard a lot of good things about you, I'm willing to invest in our friendship."

He paused again, allowing Zhu Ting to let the implications of his words sink in before he continued, "What do you have to offer?"

"Actually brother Bian, I have the very rare and original Jade sun force." Zhu Ting decided to trust Han Yan's words and trade with Bian instead.

"The one that strengthens the kidney? Let me see it." Bian said.

Zhu Ting went to his room to retrieve the papers with jade sun force. Thankfully Bian already seemed to know about it.

He gave the original and copied papers to Bian. 'Woah, its like the original emits a certain warmth that boosts its effect'

The original jade sun force was archaic in nature, only those who understood the nuances of the ancient language could grasp the benefits emanating from it.

"Do you have anything else to offer?" Bian asked. Zhu Ting mentioned some stuff which Bian didn't count as important, until he mentioned the nest.

"Alright then, I'll buy this paper and the nest location for a sacred-blood beast soul." Bian was a straightforward guy.

"Deal" Zhu Ting was quick to accept. If anyone heard of this deal, they would lose their marbles.

Bian transferred the mount and shapeshifting beast soul. Although they were both aquatic, the sea snake could also fight on land, it would only be weaker against sacred-blood creatures.

"I am sending you another beast soul as an advance for next time." Bian said with a smile, at least now Zhu Ting would have a good expression of him.

He collected the Jade sun force and confirmed its authenticity. He summoned the golden growler and Zhu Ting led him to the nest.

They made their way down and Bian broke the green wall, inside the nest were several cells decorating the walls and ceilings.

Roar!

A gargoyle with silver horns rushed at them. As quick as a shadow, Zhu Ting ran towards the exit faster than a ghost leaving Bian with the beast.

Bian activated his empirical will, a mystical tune echoed in the surroundings. With the crocodile scissors in hand, he dodged a blow from the gargoyle.

SNIP! ROAR!!

Bian snipped of a leg of the creature with some resistance, the crocodile scissors was most effective when used against humanoid beings.

The enraged gargoyle yelled and a silver colour spread from its horns. "No you don't!" Bian placed the scissors on its neck. 

CLANK! CLANK! CLANK! SNIP!

Bian met some resistance but he successfully beheaded it before it went berserk. The inferno gargoyle had wings and could fly, its defense was also topnotch.

He didn't immediately feed the black crystal to the gargoyle, instead he walked towards the egg. Bian never knew his heart could beat so fast in anticipation.

With the emperical will still active, Bian found the egg and broke it with the scissors.

Bian saw a piece of fog coming out of the egg, which gradually became a beast soul in front of him.

The beast soul looked like a black scorpion. It's entire carapace was dark coupled with it's pincers and tail, it looked extremely domineering.

[Super beast soul Emperor Scorpion gained.]

"Yes, I knew it" With the empirical will, Bian didn't have to worry about luck ever again, even a nest egg which usually gave sacred-blood beast souls produced a super beast soul for him. He quickly looked at the information of the beast soul.

"Gem type, do I have any scorpion beast souls?" As Bian went through his different beast souls he finally spotted a scorpion tail. The berserk sacred-blood manticore from first god sanctuary.

"Well a manticore should be part scorpion" Bian combined the gem type scorpion with the manticore.

The manticore and the scorpion fused together, the manticore's already black skin gleamed with a metallic luster. It tail became more elongated and venomous although it lost the spikes.

It's claws and tooth elongated. Its body size tripled before compressing back to its initial size, its muscles well defined like that of a statue. The manticore released a frightening roar.

Bian checked the information of the Emperor manticore. It was now a second sanctuary super pet, and it was combat ready.

Bian was ecstatic beyond words, he quickly fed the black crystal to the manticore and left the nest. Zhu Ting was waiting outside.

"Did you kill the gargoyle?" He asked.

Bian responded with a nod, he summoned the golden growler and they rode back to white-snow shelter together.

"Did you get the beast soul?" Zhu Ting asked.

"Yes, it even went berserk right before I got it. It's a shapeshifting beast soul that can fly." although the gargoyle wasn't actually berserk, Bian could turn it berserk in two days time.

"Boss do you have a price." Zhu Ting was ready to stake big on this humanoid beast soul.

"Yeah, actually the seven twists of the Chens had caught my eye for a while now." Bian said with a subtle smile.

"Boss please, is there anything else" Zhu Ting pleaded.

"Never mind then" Bian said and Zhu Ting left the conversation there.

Back in white-snow shelter, Bian went to his room and left the sanctuaries.

With no new information on daphne, he returned back to the sanctuaries. Bian decided to hunt some mutant creatures to max out his geno points.

When he got back to his room, some unexpected people were waiting for him. A woman dressed in all white and some other people along with Han Yan.

"How do you all do" Bian asked casually, hoping to ease the tension in the room.

"You're quite something, to remain unfazed before the Queen." One of the guys said.

"Stop that!" The woman in white, Queen said. She looked at the pet with Han Yan and then towards Bian.

"Alright, I've said this a while ago and I'll say it again. We believe there is a class of creatures above sacred-blood, the silver fox you picked up should be one of them." 

Bian gave the Queen a menacing stare, she understood his meaning and was quick to correct herself.

"Don't get me wrong, we won't kill this beast you've tamed." Queen said, more so to her teammates than to Bian. "We want your help in hunting these creatures. I told Han Yan about it and she already said yes, what about you?"

Bian could already hunt super creatures with the Emperor manticore. He didn't need to join their team to hunt super creatures, but he needed to learn Heavenly Go.

Queen was essentially the only one who could teach him Heavenly Go. 'Since I can hunt creatures at any time, I'll join along and watch her in action'

"Okay, I'm in." he responded.

"Not so easy there pal, your girl over here has a high fitness and has unlocked a genelock. We need to test you first." The guy who had spoken earlier said. He walked outside and signaled for Bian to follow along.

He had blue eyes and blond hair, the others called him Tyrant. Tyrant and Bian got in a battle ready position.

"You have to stay alive for two minutes." Tyrant said. Although it may sound like boasting it actually wasn't. His fitness was very high coupled with his unlocked gene lock and skill, he was one of the most formidable awakeners in the second sanctuary.
