Starting a music company part 1

The semi annual assessment was won by alliance central military academy. There were no surprises there.

Bian still had to wait for a bit till his arm was fixed. Before that he couldn't make 'reckless decisions.'

He studied diligently every day while occasionally chatting and going on dates with Han Yan.

Bian had much more to learn from the Saints Hall, things he couldn't be thought in school. He might not be able to create geno art but he could modify or combine certain aspects of some geno art.

"If I can extract the coolness jadeskin provides that calms the body and implement it when one is full while using the heresy mantra, it would make a new geno heart that could strengthen the heart without the danger of stuffing yourself to death." Bian was bored with nothing to look forward to except meeting with Han Yan.

Bian couldn't stand the boredom and decided to contact professor Bai.

"Professor Bai, I suddenly had an enlightenment, I think I may know of a way to perfect the heresy mantra" Bian was eager to experiment and put his knowledge to use.

"I appreciate the eagerness but you haven't even graduated yet, just wait till after your graduation before modifying any geno arts" professor Bai meant well for Bian, if he could actually modify an ancient and powerful geno art like the heresy mantra too many eyes would be on him. Right now he was too weak to even defend himself.

"Okay, but then professor Bai what should I do with my free time." With nothing but free time Bian was bored out of his mind.

"Don't ask me, go get a hobby or something." Professor Bai said before dropping the call.

"A hobby huh, I like listening to music that's got to be a hobby" Bian cheered up instantly.

"But I really wanna hear some good old classics." Bian decided to start a music club, with mental point targeting he remembered all the lyrics of songs he had heard in his past life.

Using his personal funding he searched the skynet for any music companies he could buy as creating a new one would require a lot of capital and time.

After searching for a while, he found an organizational name which stuck out like a sore thumb. The echo geckos.

"No wonder they went out of business, what kind of name is echo geckos" Bian called the manager, they planned on selling the building for five million dollars but Bian had other plans.

"Hello is this manager Bo of the e-echo geckos" Bian thought the name really sounded ridiculous.

"Yes it is, to whom do I owe the honor" Manager Bo asked with a hint of curiosity in his voice.

Bian decided to keep his intentions straightforward. "Greetings my name is Manwei Bian. I called because I'm interested in buying the company manager Bo, I believe I can put it to good use."

Manager Bo chuckled. "Well, that's quite unexpected. The Echo Geckos building has been on the market for a while, but no one's shown this much interest in it. What do you plan to do with it?"

Bian was surprised by the amount of courage Manager Bo had 'he can say the name echo geckos so proudly. Is he immune to cringe.' Without losing himself in his thoughts Bian responded.

"I think you've gotten it all wrong manager Bo. I want to purchase the company with its current musicians and workers." Bian wasn't lazy, the stress of looking for people, holding auditions and the like wasn't to his liking.

He had heard their music before, in this age it was rare for anyone to have a bad voice, it was their lyrics that killed their fanfare.

"I don't seem to be following mister Bian" Manager Bo almost choked on his saliva when he heard Bian.

"I think you do, we will finalize all the details once we met in person." Bian knew from manager Bo's voice that a spark of hope had been reignited.

Over the next few weeks, Bian and Manager Bo negotiated the sale of the Echo Geckos as an entity. They eventually settled on a price, and Bian officially became the new owner. With the building in his possession, Bian wasted no time in getting to work.

He hired a team of architects and designers to revamp the interior, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The musicians of the echo geckos lived in the building and had to book a hotel room in the mean time.

The three main singers and members of the echo geckos were Bo Qitu, Hanfei Ming and Er Linger. They sat round in a circle as they giggled and gossiped among themselves.

"Do you believe this is happening, its just like I said all those years ago. We can't be easily removed" Bo Qitu said excitedly.

...

Years ago as they discussed on the name of their music group in an empty school room, Bo Qitu spotted a gecko on the wall.

"Look at that" she pointed towards the gecko.

"Nasty, I'll kill it" Er Linger did not like insects, rodents and other creepy crawlies.

"Don't harm it I think it's a sign" Bo Qitu yelled. In the empty school an echo soon rang back.

"Nice" the three girls looked at each other and smiled.

"A sign huh?" Hanfei Ming did not mind the gecko, she stood up and went to take a closer look at it. The gecko obviously ran when she came towards it.

"Hmm" Bo Qitu combined all she saw into a name.

"A group whose song will echo through the ages, whose tenacity in facing any situations is akin to a gecko sticking to any surface. We shall be the ...Echo Geckos"

"That's a terrible name, forget it" the name was instantly declined by the other members of the group.

"You really wanna ignore what I say after I see the signs" this wasn't the first time Bo Qitu had predicted things using random signs no one else could interpret.

All her predictions so far had been accurate.

With reluctance the girls accepted and donned the name, the echo geckos.

Their songs gained a little fanfare in the beginning but died out due to mediocrity.

They barely survived on donations from some dedicated fans.

Bo Qitu's older brother Bo Chang invested his all in his little sisters music band eventually becoming their manager but still their popularity declined drastically.

Bo Qitu thought she was wrong and conceded that they sold the building and divided the money fairly. She was depressed until the call from Bian came in like the first beam of light on a rainy day.

The contract signed with Bian stated they would be paid a hundred thousand per month as the lead singers excluding donations and other sources of income. If they decided to do nothing they would basically be paid free money until the contract expires but on the flip side if they leaked any intel or secret regarding the music, they would essentially become slaves with their life and death in Bian's hand.

The content was completely legal. All they had to do was avoid leakage of confidential information and they had nothing to lose.

Their surprise began when they noticed the different amplification the building underwent. They could feel the seriousness of their sponsor in this endeavor and equally decided to give it their all.

A new era of music was upon the alliance.
