After admission Bian moved into his dormitory, he was the last to arrive.
In the room two of his room mates were speaking to one another while the other seemed to be meditating.
"Hi everyone, my name is Bian Manwei I'll be in your care" Bian greeted his roommates. The guy who seemed to be meditating opened his eye and said, "my name is Xue Wen." His skin was clear like jade, it was milky white, a clear sign that he practised Jadeskin.
"Ouyang Ming at your service" he had all average features except for a pair of eyes which looked like that of a vulture, ready to devour its prey.
"An Luofeng, don't get in my way" said the last person in the room. An Luofeng was 2.3 meters tall, his white hair fluttered in the air.
"Why you gotta be like that" Ouyang Ming said playfully.
"Don't you see" An Luofeng scoffed. "If he's just coming in now, he must have sat for the special enrolment, he's just trash"
Bian was flabbergasted by An Luofeng's logic. 'How could anyone be so smart'
Ouyang Ming reminded everyone "you may say that, but don't think the exams are easy in any way" the look in his eye suddenly turned serious, "Bian Manwei right, the name in first position is also Bian Manwei isn't it. What are the odds of two people having such an unusual name"
Xue Wen and An Luofeng turned to Bian and stared him up and down.
Feeling the stares of three men, Bian got a little uncomfortable, he cleared his throat and said "just so you know I don't swing that way"
They all gave him the finger.
During the first three months students weren't allowed off the campus. Bian soaked in everything being thought and would spend the night going through it again using vital point targeting. 'I guess I'm targeting the points I need from my memories'
His studied the ancient language until he hit a roadblock. The information on the Skynet was limited, he needed more texts to study and decipher.
He joined a group which specializes in ancient texts, he honed his skill to the extreme in preparation for the dongxuan sutra.
In another planet, where researchers dedicated to the formation of hyper geno arts gathered, The Saints Hall.
Professor Min Tai concluded his research and went to the group he had dedicated for ancient languages.
"A new member, his ID is--" Min Tai spat out his coffee once he saw the ID big boss Ken. Once in a while he would do a giveaway for the first person to translate an ancient text, the price ranged from one million to ten million.
"Since we have a new member let's go all out with ten million" he posted the picture of an ancient scroll and typed "first to decipher this gets ten million."
He put down his commlink and brewed some more coffee, while he was enjoying his hot beverage a familiar beep for a message came in.
"Is it time to renew the spinal fluid?" He checked his commlink then clicked on the message. Big boss Ken had sent a reply for the giveaway.
"Impossible" he spat the coffee out of his mouth. He checked the translated version and was astonished, it usually took weeks and even months before a scroll like this one could get translated.
"Send your account details" he typed.
On the other end
Bian deciphered the scroll at a single glance and took his time typing down the contents. He was surprised when they asked for his account details.
"Well it's not like I'm hiding my identity" he sent his details to the professor and instantly received ten million. It was a huge relief for his pockets.
Min Tai sent him another message "which academy do you teach" truly impressed with his speed of translation, it was revolutionary. He sat down and sipped on some hot coffee.
The ancient languages had to be deciphered by a human mind and couldn't be done with any other means.
Bian responded "I think you have it mixed up. I'm a freshman at Alliance Central Military academy"
"Impossible" Min Tai spat the coffee from his mouth once more. A freshman? But how. He sent another message "and what would be your name young man"
Bian responded "my name is Bian Manwei"
The professor went on "How would you like to join the Saints Hall. The benefits would be stupendous"
Bian answered "I would love too, but I'm still a freshman it might not be convenient"
A reply quickly came "worry not, as long as you agree to it, everything else can be worked out. Just wait for the good news!"
Professor Min called his secretary, in less than a minute she arrived at his office. She noticed some coffee stains on the floor but ignored them. The professor had just finished brewing some coffee when she came in. He offered her a cup but she rejected.
After taking a sip of his coffee he said "I need information on a Bian Manwei, he should be a freshman in Alliance military academy."
"Right away sir" secretary Jing responded. Her fingers danced rapidly on a pad as she got the information the professor asked for a minute later. The professor had just drank the last mouthful of coffee in the mug.
Secretary Jing "says here he scored a perfect score in the special enrolment exams."
Professor Min spat the coffee in his mouth and hurriedly asked for confirmation.
"Are you saying he scored a thousand points exactly" he asked his voice cracking.
Secretary Jing surprised by his outburst was flustered as she answered "y-yes that's what I mean sir"
"Cancel all my appointments, and call the pilot" professor Min Said ready to leave at once.
"I can't do that professor, the Xue family's special meeting is happening next month" secretary Jing responded "where are you planing to go" She asked perplexed by his eagerness.
"To meet this Bian Manwei of course. What is the information department even good for if they don't deliver these kinds of needed info" professor Min grumbled. He saw a confused look on secretary Jing's face, "Why do you look so underwhelmed"
"Well because there have been several geniuses over the years I don't see a difference with this Bian Manwei" secretary Jing didn't understand the professors reasoning, the information department would only tell the professor about Bian Manwei if he had any outstanding achievements.
The professor sighed "didn't you say he scored a thousand points. You seriously don't see anything in that.
Secretary Jing retorted "Well Jing Jia in second position scored 998 points, just two points behind Bian Manwei. And there have been many who scored above 990 there isn't much of a difference"
"There isn't much of a difference!" The professor raised his voice "the difference is staring at you right in the face"
Secretary Jing was not following so Professor Min told it to her directly
"Jing Jia got 998 because that's all he could get, Bian Manwei got 1000 because that was all there was to get."
Secretary Jing's pupil shrunk and she released a gasp as she realized the implication of that sentence.
Bian called home and they chatted about Manwei Ran his sister. After his consistent pestering, Manwei Lan relented and agreed to transfer her to a better school. He sent her 9 million and an S-class license hall to buy the holy angel geno art for Manwei Ran, it would improve her foundation.
Bian had one S-class license left and less than 2 million dollars but he was proud of his decision.
Having mastered the ancient language he bought Sparticle from the facilities in the school and began his practice. This marked the end of his first month in the academy.
