HEARTS AND BALLOONS

Today was a big day for me—I finally resumed school after my stay in the hospital. Even though I could still feel some mild pain in my leg, I was determined to make the most out of today. Mum drove me and Lily to school, and as we walked in together, I could sense the excitement in the air.

As we walked into the classroom, I was greeted with cheerful smiles and warm hugs from my classmates.

"Welcome back!" shouted Kelvin, grinning from ear to ear.

"We missed you!" Courtney exclaimed, giving me a tight squeeze.

"Thanks, I missed you guys!" I replied, feeling a warm rush of happiness. It felt so good to be missed.

Once the morning settled, the first exam of the day began. I said a short prayer before turning my question paper over. I just hope this pass weeks events wouldn't affect me.
