A SUDDEN LIGHT I

As soon as my mom picked me up and we arrived home, I wasted no time in asking her for her phone so I could call Diamond. I was eager to hear both Diamond's and Lisa's opinions about the matter happening at school. When my mom inquired about my phone, I confessed it had fallen and broken. Surprisingly, she didn't scold me, but instead, kindly promised to get me a new one.

"Hey, Diamond, is Lisa with you?" I asked the instant she picked up.

"No, she is not. What's up?" Diamond responded.

"Oh, okay. Can you please call me the moment Lisa gets there? I need to tell you both something important," I said.

"Sure, is it about Chris?" she asked.

"Not just about him. It's a bit more than that," I replied.

"Alright, I will let you know as soon as Lisa arrives," she assured me.

"Thanks, talk to you soon. Bye," I said before hanging up.
