Chapter 1.5 L part 2 (Slight warning for Gore )

L is the best detective in the world, that is a fact that everybody knows , but what people don't know is that he died.

Yes , he died while trying to catch Kira, yet awoke on his bed 2 years prior to his death.

Looking at Light grinning sadly at him before he died , seeing the regret slowly creep into his heart made him confused.

'Why did he regret killing me ?'

Was a question that hunts his brain every night, like a puzzle piece he can't quite solve due to one piece missing.

Why lose your own memories and put yourself through hell just to kill me , then regret it ??

Kira is incapable of having guilt , yet his tears weren't fake.

Why ??

Light does not have the death note anymore and he suffered enough for his crimes, that he knows.

Seeing Light getting heart attack after attack , getting burned and squished made him want to puke , but what kept an impact on him was Light begging him to kill him.

He wasn't begging for the death gods to stop , no.

He was begging him to kill him , to at least avenge his and Watari's untimely deaths once.

Seeing Light like that was to much , he's just a kid .

As L read the files that the prison cells suicides he had on his desk he finds a some new information.

" Kira... What are you up to ?? "

On the screen was a hidden message with 6 murders.

*L , do you know ??*

Light was becoming more paranoid lately .

Raye was writing in his notebook , clearly worried for the kid.

Ofcourse he also managed to notice a stalker walking a few meters away from Light but he doesn't that is the reason.

Light didn't notice the stalker at all , not has he noticed him yet .

It's also because Light started to clutch his shirt a lot , though it was only a few times a day.

Well that's what he thought till he saw a note left behind.

He grabbed the note and hid it in his pocket before following Light to his home .

Light entered his home and immediately went to his room .

Raye left the place and went home to read the note , his wife Naomi Misora was next to him .

* Raye Pember , Naomi Misora .

The first thing I want to do is apologize, you might not know but I need to apologize to you .

The second thing is that you are in grave danger .

Kira already knows about you .

Kira is planning something.

Please , by any means don't show your names to anyone outside of your household.

I can't say much else , but please listen .

Please wear masks , tell the police force to cover their faces as long as they are in public .

They were both shocked and scared.

" Raye , we need to give this to L , take a photo of it ."

" Yes !"

He takes a few photo of the note and saved them for later .

" Naomi , the one I'm investigating knows more than he's letting on, we need to talk to him "

" We can't, he's being held hostage . He said so in the note . "

" So the stalker ... must be working for kira "

They said at the same time and blushed.

" Yes , we should tell L immediately, he can find a way to protect the kid "

Raye was devastated, all the time Light clutches his shirt is because he was terrified to die at any moment .

" I'll call L "

L was in a business meeting with the Japanese police force before his phone rung.

" Hello ?"

" This is Raye , I've uncovered great progress to the kira case "

The police was furious.

" L , who is that ?!"

"One of the F.B.I agents I sent ."

" So you were spying on us ?"

" Continue on Raye "

L ignored the yells of the police .

" Kira has someone from the police task force's family hostage ."

Silence filled the room and fear came into every police force's bones .

Soichiro especially.

" Elaborate. "

" The son of Soichiro Yagami warned me and my wife through a hurried note that kira already knows of us and told us that kira is planning something , he wrote both my wife's and my full names to prove it.

He also told me to tell you to cover your faces , he cannot say anything further."

Soichiro's heart broke , he felt sick.

Kira was holding Light hostage, yet Light went to save the agents while he couldn't even get a lead on who Kira is .

L was quiet for a few seconds.

" Tell all F.B.I agents to report back to the U.S . It's gotten to dangerous for you . If what you said is true than kira will eventually find out about the rushed message and if you are still here they can track you down faster. "

" Yes , we are busy packing now. "

" Good , pleasure working with you Raye . "

The call ended and L put his attention back to the police force .

" As you all heard and as I'm sorry to hear that Mr Yagami's son is being held hostage to Kira .

But thanks to that we managed to confirm that kira really needs a name and face to kill , we are still testing if it's true to see if he can kill from afar or if he somehow tracks you down. "

L said through the T.V screen .

" Yagami , your family is in grave danger , so i suggest you don't talk about the Kira case at all, and take care of yourself ."

L said and the police force were quiet.

" All the police members who want to stay in this case must wear a mask before going in public. If you wish to leave you can with 0 setbacks ."

The police force decided to leave , only 6 people stayed .

" I'm only staying to save Light , kid doesn't deserve this . "

" I am glad to , we'll set our test and see the results "

I was writing in my death note when the T.V turned to a INCPO announcement.

" I am L . Whoever Kira is I will catch you and bring you to justice , killing innocents and tormenting him, I will tell you who he is tormenting later in the announcement .

I will tell you that whatever reason you are doing this is pure evil. "

Rage filled my vision and I wrote his name down while the death god laughed .

" Evil ?! how DARE you say I'm tormenting my Light ! He is to pure to die by this death note and you will be nothing more than dirt he steps on !! I am his protector !! "

Lind .L. Tailor falls dead on the ground and the screen changed to white .

" So you really can kill from afar, without being there in person .

Kira I must tell you that I will catch you and bring you to justice.

You're never going to get what you desire ."

The T.V goes back to the normal news .

I break my T.V in rage as The death god laughs in the distance .

" You bastard! I am merely cleaning up the world from dirt ! Dirt like you !! I will kill you L !!"
