Giovanni was worried sick about the detective, he hasn't received anything on his end for days since the attack and that made him get a burner phone, dial his number but it went straight to voicemail.

He was standing outside his father's hospital ward, while praying that whatever happened to the detective wasn't as a result of what he had done. He can't have his death on his hands, since Zyan has assured him that he would save him while serving after all this is over.

Apart from that, if anything happens to him, Giovanni doubts if there would be anyone as good as him, as honest and trustworthy as him in the police department to continue from where they stopped, of course there's no one like him.
