Feng Xue had expected this.

The days had passed in a strange, quiet haze. The Mu family mansion had settled back into its cold, heavy silence, the echoes of past arguments still lingering in its grand halls.

Jiu Hian'er was gone, and Mu Yeming had no reason to keep holding onto something that had already shattered. And yet, despite everything, despite the divorce papers being signed and her own firm resolve, she knew Mu Yeming wouldn't let go so easily.
