Utterly Conquered

"Let me go! I'm not a criminal!" the old woman screamed while struggling against them.

"You have a knife and still claim innocence?!" a young man shot back angrily while locking the old woman's arms on her back.

When the officers arrived, they searched the old woman's belongings and found a packet of powdered sleeping pills hidden in her pocket. The crowd gasped when they saw the medicine.

"This boy doesn't even look like he is from the village," a woman observed. 

"His clothes are clean, and he is wearing leather shoes. He seems to be a child of rich people," another person added.

The stark contrast between the old woman and the child raised even more suspicion. The officer's expression hardened as he said, "Please bring the boy and come with us."
