Chapter 29: Unstoppable Public Opinion

In response, the Mutant Academy began establishing branch schools in various locations. This was one of the reasons for the significant investment. The gentlemen in Congress, seeing someone willing to invest, were eager to hand over the responsibility of the Mutant Academy. They would even offer verbal praise and tax deductions.

Hank resumed his position as the Secretary of Mutant Affairs, and Storm, Ororo Munroe, was now the headmistress of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. She insisted on carrying on the name of the school, and Warren agreed. After all, Professor Xavier had done a lot for mutants.

For example, the most famous Magneto. He awakened his powers in a concentration camp as a child and had his abilities triggered by the death of his mother.

In his youth, he joined the X-Men and prevented a world war. Of course, this was a condensed version, leaving out the part where Magneto turned evil.

In his middle age, he got married and went into seclusion. However, his wife and child were shot because he was betrayed by a colleague, causing him to go on a rampage.

As for one of his biggest crimes, the assassination of a president, the trolls explained based on the information provided by Warren.

Magneto couldn't have assassinated the president; he was protecting him. Why? Because that particular president was also a mutant.

The evidence was irrefutable, and even the government couldn't argue. They wondered where these bastards got such top-secret information.

Of course, it was Hydra. Who else could it be?

Multiple mutants also came forward, recounting how they were rejected, denied an education, and even expelled by their families. Many mutants were kicked out of their homes when they were still children, such as the famous Mystique, Raven Darkhölme.

"It's because of these bastards that we mutants couldn't get an education. That's why I want to contribute to the development of the Mutant Academy," Mystique said.

Why is the Mutant Academy called Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters?

Hank nodded.

"When everyone understands mutants, they won't fear and reject us but say, 'Hey, buddy, your blue fur is cool, but I saw a cool dragon guy with a tail who can breathe fire yesterday!'"

It seemed that Warren told a good joke.

"Your words are good. I'll use them in my next meeting," Hank said.

"Really? Then you'll have to pay me a copyright fee," Warren replied.

Hank took out a pen. "How about I give you an autograph?"

"Forget it, you don't have as many fans as I do."
