The Lost of Sanity

The distance between Veronika and the demon halved. She kicked it hard, sending the creature crashing into a wall. Another demon leaped from the shadows, but Suzanna swiftly summoned a soldier of pure light, who sliced the demon apart within seconds.

Suzanna then pulled out a book and placed David and Sabrina safely inside.

"It's time for me to leave," she said. "Catch up with me once you're somewhere safe."

Veronika nodded, understanding. The moment she entered the halls, a cold sensation crept over her, as though invisible eyes were digging into her back like knives. She spun around, seeing figures rising from the shadows. Her expression darkened, fury rising within her.

"I'm going to fucking kill you!" she screamed, but before she could act, shelves of books materialized around her, sealing off the room. A single book fell from the shelf as Suzanna's voice echoed from beyond.

"Protect them…"
