383 Enel vs Kuzan 01

Penguin's words made sense to Law.

Doflamingo's strength was powerfull, and they weren't ready to face him yet.

However, Law worried that waiting would only allow Doflamingo and Kaido to strengthen their alliance, making it even harder to defeat him in the future.

"Yeah, we really need a solid plan and a strong ally," Law said after thinking for a moment.

While he might use some leverage against Doflamingo with Caesar as bargaining, but he couldn't ignore Kaido's presence. If he went after Caesar, Kaido would undoubtedly come after him alongside Doflamingo.

Thinking of the Four Emperors, Law considered Whitebeard, the new Pirate King.

Given his recent battles, it seemed likely Whitebeard would target Kaido next after Big Mom.

Joining Whitebeard's banner seemed like a smart move.

"We'll need to pick a side now," 

Law said in a serious voice, looking at the clear blue sky. His eyes burned with determination for revenge.

Several days after the fight between Enel and Marco, the Whitebeard Pirates are now anticipating the battle between their general, Enel, and Kuzan.

So Whitebeard takes them to a nearby uninhabited island, filled with deserted rock, for the fight.

After Whitebeard gives the signal, both fighters attack at the same time.

Enel is mostly on the offensive, while Kuzan stays in a defensive stance to gauge Enel's strength up close.

After a series of exchanged attacks, Kuzan lets out a long sigh.

"Your strength is good, but unfortunately, your ability doesn't affect me," 

Kuzan said casually, with a hint of disappointment.

Before the battle began, Kuzan had already analyzed Enel's fighting style and abilities.

He had a hunch that he could counter Enel's lightning attacks.

Now, the actual situation confirmed his hunch, making the battle a bit easier for Kuzan. He felt disappointed because what he really needed was a challenge to improve himself, not just an easy win.

Enel gritted his teeth in frustration. He couldn't figure out why his abilities weren't working against Kuzan.

Determined, Enel unleashed a barrage of lightning balls, each the size of a palm, shooting at Kuzan like a dense rain of electricity.

Furthermore, even if the lightning balls don't hit Kuzan directly, they explode around him, releasing a powerful surge of electricity.

Such intensity in attack is beyond what most can handle.

To Enel's surprise, Kuzan didn't try to dodge. Instead, he covered himself in a layer of crystal ice.

The lightning balls struck him but left no trace, and their power vanished just like that.

"Arara, I already told you, lightning doesn't work on me!" 

Kuzan sighs. Enel watched as Kuzan charged straight at him, ignoring the countless lightning balls in his path. It was as if they had no effect on him at all.

Kuzan's speed was very fast. At the same time, Enel moved a step slower when he was surprised, and was kicked out by Kuzan. Kuzan's feet were cloaked in black, a clear sign of Armament Haki.

The kick from Kuzan sent a jolt of pain through Enel's muscles and bones, but he gritted his teeth and stood up, determined.

He summoned the power of lightning to create a lightning gun. Though he didn't understand why lightning didn't work on Kuzan, he knew he had to try other methods.

Close combat wasn't Enel's strong suit, but he had to defend himself somehow. As Kuzan launched another attack, Enel quickly raised his thunder gun to block the blow.

Simultaneously, a powerful bolt of lightning surged from the lightning gun. It hit Kuzan, sending him staggering backward. Though Kuzan retreated, he emerged unharmed.

"It looks like it's not entirely immune. Could it be because of the Armament Haki?" 

Enel couldn't help but wonder.

Since Kuzan used Armament Haki during the attack, he couldn't freeze his body at the same time.

Earlier, Enel's lightning balls didn't hit Kuzan's armament haki parts.

But this time, the electrical current from the lightning gun enveloped Kuzan's entire body, allowing it to land a successful hit.
