Boruto's Bad Day

Before I start I wanted to inform you guys that in a couple of days, I will be going on a trip for a little over a week. I'm trying to stock up some chapters in advance but there may be a day or two without an upload.

I'm not positive but I wanted to let you know in advance as even if I upload daily it will most likely be 1 a day instead of the 2-3 I've been doing sometimes. Who knows though, as I'll try to write during the plane ride (It's 8 hours….)

Let's just hope the person sitting next to me doesn't glance over at what I'm writing or I might just die of embarrassment.

"I'm home!"

Menma had come back home, deciding to let Tennyo take his place at the academy for a while. He said that school was exciting but Menma didn't feel the same. Then again, Tennyo found most things interesting…

When the prince with a scarred right hand entered, the first thing he did was remove all the bandages he was wearing to make himself more comfortable.

Konan and Tsunade quickly left the kitchen to welcome him home before suggestively rubbing their breasts on his back and arms. Menma smiled subtly at the reception before subtly wrapping his arms around their lithe waists.

"How was your day…?" Menma asked knowingly.

"It was good, Master…" Said Konan, leaning further into his arm.

Menma guided them into the living room, where Hinata and Mikoto were waiting. Hinata and Mikoto were both blushing at the sight of their Master. Menma stopped in front of his Dojutsu slaves, who were kneeling with their hands behind their heads.

"As you can see, these bitches are doing very well…" Konan said as she let go of his arm before adopting a poise befitting a devoted secretary.

Tsunade also released Menma, allowing him to go examine the two new slaves.

Menma walked up to the two kneeling slaves before softly putting his hands on the top of their heads and softly petting them as if they were animals.

The two slaves who felt the hands of their master petting them made them immediately smile and begin blushing.

"It seems so…" Menma said with a smirk before he focused his gaze on Hinata.

"Stand up, Hinata…"

"Yes, Master!" The woman obeyed instantly.

"I need you to go to the academy because Boruto is detained in the office for trying to hit me…" Menma spoke as Hinata listened with full attention.

"I want you to reprimand him and make sure to make him as miserable as possible."

"Yes, master! I will make sure to punish him fiercely for daring to lay his hands on you!" The blue-haired Hyuga agreed instantly, looking incredibly solemn.

Kurenai was sitting next to Iruka Umino while they both waited for the person in charge of Boruto to arrive. Boruto sat facing both of them, separated by a wide desk that Iruka used to get his work done.

"What's wrong, Boruto? You're not normally a troublemaker…" Asked the brown ninja with the high ponytail.

"That idiot was the one who started it, Iruka-sensei…!"

The blond Hyuga had tried to sell the image that he was a model and a well-behaved student. All of the things, like beating up Menma or bullying Chouchou, were always kept away from the view of teachers and out of school. Everything had always worked well, and it had simply been his damn half-brothers' fault that he got caught this time...

For now, though, he had bigger problems, like trying to defend himself.

"Boruto, I can't help you if you're not honest. Kurenai-san was there and clearly saw that only you were attacking. Menma never responded to you or gave any sign of having started anything…"

"But I'm telling you the truth, Iruka-sensei!" The blonde Hyuga insisted, knowing he had no other chance to defend himself.

"I saw that he couldn't even stand up, and you were the one that attacked him first." The illusion specialist intervened.

Boruto was about to reply again when the soft knocks on the door were heard, and Iruka quickly got up from his desk to open the door. Hinata Hyuga was waiting there, dressed in a baggy black dress and carrying a black bag in her right hand. Iruka welcomed her in and guided her to sit down next to her son.

"Good afternoon, Iruka-san. What seems to be the problem?" Hinata asked after she made a subtle bow as a sign of greeting.

"Did you receive the notification?" Asked the chunin as he sat down in his own chair across from them.

"No... I came because Boruto didn't come home." Hinata answered worriedly.

Iruka detailed what Kurenai had told him as an eyewitness at the scene. Hinata remained calm, listening to the conflict that occurred between her son and Menma. She then learned how Himawari had to intervene so the situation wouldn't worsen. Of course, Hinata was also informed of Himiwari's attack against her brother, but that did not seem to concern her.

Boruto looked at his mother, who seemed to be a lot calmer compared to what had happened this morning as she received the complaint without getting angry with him.

"I-I understand…" The mother lowered her head, embarrassed.

"I suggest you talk to Boruto to prevent this incident from repeating itself in the future since the attack against Menma is still being investigated. The least we want is for this type of problem to cause misunderstandings or repeat itself." The Chunin recited professionally as he stared at her. "I'll have to report this in the report to the council, but we don't have to make this matter bigger."

"Don't worry, Iruka-san…" Hinata said as she put her hand on the blond's shoulder as a sign that she was apparently on his side.

"I'll talk to him and prevent this kind of thing from happening again. Thank you very much for your support and comprehension."

Iruke smiled and motioned towards the door.

"That being the case, you can go now…"

The mother and son came home after a long walk in silence, they entered their house, and the blonde smiled, ecstatic. He believed that he had gotten away with it and despite the fact that that nosy Jounin had intervened, as in the end, nothing had happened...

All he had to do now was repay that painful kick to her sister, and everything would return to normal.

"Well, Mom, now I want a plate of vegetables…" The boy put his hands behind his neck freely.

"Boruto…" The beautiful mother whispered softly.

"What up Mo-…?"

After receiving a violent slap to the right cheek, the boy fell heavily to the ground. He gritted his teeth as he felt a warm metallic-tasting liquid fill his mouth. Immediately he stood up to angrily face his mother with anger in his eyes. His lower lip was visibly swollen on the right side, and the area of his face where he received the blow was red...

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" The boy yelled, visibly angered, while thick tears began to run down his cheeks.

"That's what I asked myself on the way here!" The blond was taken aback when he saw his mother look at him with deep rage as tears flowed out of her eyes as she dropped to her knees.

"I thought I was hard on you in the morning, and that's why I asked Menma's mom and aunt for a job so I could buy you the sports boots you asked for!" She yelled as she threw the bag she had been carrying aside furiously. Falling out of the bag came a box containing the expensive footwear.

"Look!" She yelled with tears.

The boy was shocked to see the boots he had asked his mother for a couple of weeks ago lying on the floor.

"And how do you expect me to look into their eyes now?!" Hinata yelled as she gave an excellent performance to her son. She closed her eyes and gritted her teeth as if trying to control herself from deep indignation.

"Have I failed you in something?! I've given you everything and always cared for and loved you!" She asked as the boy bit his lip, unable to answer.

"I know you didn't know your father, but I don't deserve that you do these things to me!" Hinata covered her face with her hands, trying to make the part of a hurt and indignant mother more believable.

"Mom…" The boy went from anger to embarrassment, timidly approaching his mother, who avoided contact

"Don't touch me!" She exclaimed between her sobs.

"Now the least I can do is apologize to them!"

"B-But…" The boy was visibly saddened to see his mother's unexpected reaction.

"Look…" Hinata took a deep breath to pretend that she had regained control and stood up little by little.

"Just drop it. As always, I have to go and apologize for you…" She finished getting up and headed for the door.

"I don't know how long it will take me. There's Ramen on the stove, and it's warm. It was what was left of the morning because I didn't have time to cook, so I heated it up before I left..."

"You can have that for dinner, and then you go to sleep. I'm leaving for the Uzumaki House."

"Yes…" Due to the guilt that had embedded itself in his heart, Boruto did not have the courage to reply to anything.

"And Himawari…?"

"She asked me for permission to stay at Chouchou's house again... but didn't bother to tell me about it…" Hinata murmured with feigned indignation.

"I'm going to put her in her place too..."

"But, Mom…" The boy tried to intercede for his sister, thinking that she had tried to stop him in the end.

"I'm leaving now. Enjoy your boots…" The woman said as she walked with disconcerting tranquility and left her house in cold silence before her son's tearful and inconsolable look.

Boruto felt as if this was the worst day of his life. His mother had scolded him, and then later, he had been beaten by her. Not to mention how guilty he felt for everything.

Little did he know it was just the beginning...
