"Hey," Elliana held Marcello's hand as she sat in the chair beside his bed, making the man blink his eyes softly and look at her.
"You are finally awake. Do you really have to scare me like that? I already didn't like you from the beginning for my Glow and now you are going to be like this? Do you want to be kicked?" Elliana asked.
Though she was joking, anyone could feel the genuine care for him in her voice, and the man smiled softly.
"I am sure you saved me because you didn't have anyone to kick," Marcello whispered before he tried to look around to see where his woman was.
"She is not here. The doctor is running checkups on her to ensure everything is alright with her," Elliana explained, and the man sighed in relief before looking back at his savior, a teardrop rolling from the side of his eyes.
"T-thank you for saving my family," He whispered, his voice trembling at the last word.
He had never felt so helpless in his entire life.
