Heaven let out a short grunt as her brows creased. She clenched her teeth, forcing her eyes open. Her body ached as a repercussion from the impact of the explosion. Fortunately, she and Primo jumped out of the helicopter in time.
"Ugh…" she instinctively gazed at the man lying beside her. "Hey. You alive?"
Primo peeked in his one eye, only to roll it. "Barely." His answer was quick and his attitude was the same. However, a deep exhale slipped past his lips when he glanced at his shoulder.
Her eyes fell on his shoulder, only to see his ripped suit and severed arm. His prosthetic arm was gone, and she knew he got this because he saved her. She wanted to ask why he saved her from the helicopter part that flew at her by shielding her with his metallic prosthetics. However, she didn't have time for that.
"Can you get up?" she asked, pushing herself to sit up. "It's dangerous to stay here."
