Davien's P. O. V
From the moment Kian opened the door and our eyes met, I could tell that there was something completely different about him. I couldn't sense his wolf, and it made Ralph worried over Silas.
With every word Kian said, I sensed that he wasn't himself, and it wasn't just because he didn't have his wolf, there was just this iciness in his eyes and edginess in his words. But placing that aside, he seemed healthier, his skin was brighter and a refreshing aura radiated off him.
And when I tried to kiss him, the look of contempt and disgust he shot me reminded me of the time we first met.
But none of that compared to the shock I went through when he rejected me flatly without a shred of hesitation. For the first time in a long while I panicked when he started the chant. I knew that I was the one distancing myself from him, but at that moment I wanted nothing more than for him to stop.
