"Take us to the Duchess!" Madam Sharon immediately ordered. While trembling, the maid did not object and immediately led them toward the palace hall. Seeing this, Eve could not help but sigh.

So… there was a crime in the palace? Was this the Baroness's scheme? She used a spell to study the Baroness's emotions and found out that the Baroness seemed truly terrified. She looked at the other women, and all of them seemed pretty shaken.

So, it was either, they were simply too good at acting or… this was planned a long time ago.

Still, there was another point that Eve did not understand. These ladies are actually exposed to cruelty and blood. They were Weres, for crying out loud. They must have at least seen a dead body once or twice!

So, their terrified reaction did not make any sense.
