Fossils: Revived!

The Blastoise king walked into the cave with Ash, Pikachu, and Blastoise. Venusaur went back into his ball after all the knocked-out Blastoise were taken aside.

When they entered the cave was bigger than Ash thought, the cave had a large central island surrounded by a lake with glittering water all around it with nothing but a narrow path connecting the island to the rest of the cave.

The central island also had 4 familiar glowing stones with a 5th being formed in what appeared to be a small waterfall that dumped the same water that was in the pond around it.

The Blastoise king turned to them, "[Well you a lot amused me so deals a deal, take whatever you want I don't really care about these stones, not like that dumb Venusaur King.]" he said as he took a Mega stone he had with him.

"[To me these things are just Rocks, what value could they bring.]" Then to prove his point he shattered the stone he had in his hands easily turning it into dust.

Then he turned to leave but before he did he turned to see Blastoise, "[And do come back one day when you're not weak, I look forward to the day I might have a good fight, even if it's from a delinquent like you.]"

Blastoise smirked and crossed his arms, "[You bet old man, but I won't just give you a good fight, I'll beat you and your lackeys.]"

"[Bwahaha, really now, I hope you live up to that if you do you can have my throne and I'll even marry my eldest daughter to you Bwahaha!]" The Blastoise king laughed hysterically as he walked out leaving them there.

They stood there for a moment before Blastoise tuned down to Ash, "[You know he isn't as snobby as I thought he would be.]"

Ash didn't look at him, but he did cover his fist in Aura and slap Blastoise in the Shell sending him to the ground, "Next time don't do something that stupid again, we won't be lucky next time."

Pikachu turned to Ash, "[Wh- don't you do the same thing-]"

"Shut up or I'm throwing away your limited edition ketchup bottles!" Ash said, making Pikachu cover his mouth.

Then as Blastoise got up Ash looked down at him, "Anyway go ahead and grab your favorite,"

Ash then walked to the pond and pulled a jar he grabbed to grab some of the water coming from the small waterfall glittering with energy.

Meanwhile, Blastoise got close to look at the Mega stones, to look them over, he was drawn to them but to choose one was quite hard that involved multiple tests like putting them next to his eyes as makeshift glasses and posing with them on his head.

Eventually, he settled on one that felt right as Ash walked back he flashed the stone looking proudly.

"Alright then let's go," Ash said as he grabbed 2 more stones, if the king didn't want them he knew just the thing to do with them, but he did leave 1 just in case.

When they walked out they were saluted by the water turtles as they walked out of the cave and then out of the forest, along the way Ash and Blastoise noticed a Wartortle standing by the king, he didn't say or do anything but he had a feeling that was the daughter in question.

Eventually following the Squirtles walking back and forth he finally got back to the beach, only to see Yellow sitting in a corner cradling Chuchu as she helplessly watched Misty.

Ash yelled over to get Yellow's attention, "Yo I'm back, how are things going here."

Yellow heard Ash's voice and turned to her and frantically pointed back over to Misty, "Misty has gone crazy with power, she's caught so many and I couldn't stop her!"

Ash felt his eye twitch as he stared at Yellow then looked at Misty who was basically spinning around in joy in the sand. He debated what he should do but in the end, he sucked it up and walked towards her.

"Heyyyy Misty, how are things going?"

Misty turned to see Ash and grabbed him by the arms and spun with him, "This is wonderful, I've caught so many Squirtles!"

"I see," Ash said as he forced himself to break free from Misty, "But I got what I needed and you said you only needed 1 Squirtle or Wartortle, sooo I think we should go."

Misty snapped to look at Ash, "What, but there are still so many! I got one for myself but there are more that I must catch." she said, looking like a ravenous animal.

"Misty this isn't normal,"

"Being normal, who needs it? I have Squirtles, while you were being normal I was catching Squirtles!" Misty yelled to the sky.

Ash and Pikachu looked at each other, then Pikachu jumped off as Ash grabbed Misty and put her under his arm, "Right, Yellow I got her let's go."

"Hey, let me go," Misty started struggling trying to break free, "I have Squirtles to catch. I don't have time for this."

Yellow walked up and leaned over to Ash's ear, "Is Misty ok?"

"Probably not," Ash said bluntly as he walked off making Yellow freeze for a moment that was only broken when Pikachu jumped in her arms

As Misty was still struggling Ash looked around the beach for a moment then put his other arm over his hand to yell out, "Abra!"

Then a moment later Abra popped next to him with a bright yellow hat with a checker pattern and the word 'Taxi' on the top.

Ash didn't question it and signaled for Yellow to get closer as Abra grabbed them and teleported, with Misty still struggling to break free.

{Meanwhile}

Brock was resting in the hot spring, unfortunately, he never found a unisex place or a good place to do some… research. So he was just resting in the hot water.

He was almost oblivious to everything going on around him, and the steam made it hard for anyone to see anything, so he didn't realize he was alone, well he WAS.

3 People walked into the hot water as they talked to each other, "Hey it looks like we lucked out, this place is empty!"

"Ha, I'm so glad we were deployed here, all we need to do is keep our base a secret and protect those scientists"

Brock was going to announce his presence, but there was no point so he kept relaxing, trying to block out their voices, especially when he heard scientists, he just assumed it was the same ones he met earlier

The 3 people got into the water as well, "Man this is nice, but I'm still curious what exactly they are working on?"

"Pwwww, beats me," the 3rd guy said, "The Boss just told us they work working with something involving the birds or something."

"I think he said something about the admin Sierra or something."

"Ohh that hot chick, man what I wouldn't give for 1 date with her,"

"A date, I'd settle for 10 minutes."

"Ha, more like 10 seconds," they all laughed at the playful banter

Brock didn't say anything he just thought saying admin seemed strange for a superior but he was more interested in the name Sierra, immediately getting the mental image of a beautiful girl.

"But seriously I think they were saying something about unleashing Zapmolcuno."

"Wait, wasn't it Thu-Fi-Zer?"

"No no, that was the old project, the new one is called Zapmolcuno, but I don't know anything about it."

Brock was snapped out of his trance as he heard that, he couldn't help but feel like he heard that name before, Thu-Fi-Zer.

But then the sound of them standing up was heard, "Any way we should go to the sauna, we don't have forever before we need to get back on shift."

They left Brock alone to think about what he heard.

Ash, Yellow, and Misty came back with Abra, Misty went limp when she realized they weren't on the island anymore.

"*Sigh*, can you put me down now," Misty said disgruntled, 

"I'm still not sure if I can trust you to not try it again," Ash said as he paid Taxi Abra with a bag of cookies as she then teleported away.

"Fine, I promise I won't go crazy again, we aren't even there anymore."

"Don't ask me, ask Yellow, you tormented her," Ash said, looking smugly down at her.

Misty looked up, "Seriously…"

"I can just walk into town holding you like this-"

"Yellow please forgive me," Misty said, looking desperately at Yellow.

Yellow looked flustered, "O-oh i-its ok… Ash, can you put her down."

Ash held his hand under his chin and looked focused, "Hmmmmmmm… fine." he said as he let her down.

Misty took a moment to recover from her catching high and got back on her feet, "Sorry about that I don't know what came over me."

Ash stretched his arms behind his head, "Meh, it happens, any way you got what you wanted from there right."

Misty nodded and pulled out a Pokeball releasing a Squirtle that immediately once out looked scared and ran back to hide behind Misty's legs.

Yellow leaned down to try and comfort the thing as Ash checked his dex, and felt like he got punched in the face.

Ash breathed haveli into his hand as he dragged it across his face and mumbled, "Sometimes I really wonder who got the plot armor..."

"Hmm? Did you say something?"

Ash waved his hand, "It's nothing, anyway how many did you catch?"

Misty pulled out 7 shrunken Pokeballs, "Well I got 5 Squirtle and 2 Wartortle, I was going to send them over to the breeders in Cerulean."

Ash shrugged, "Alright, well we still have some time so do you wanna get it over with and go call your gym now, I need to call home anyway."

"I mean sure why not," Misty shrugged and Yellow followed suit.

"Alright, I think there should be some computers in the Pokemon center, let's go."

{Later}

The sun was starting to set, everyone finished their affairs and they met back up with Brock, so they all went back to the lab, well except Misty she decided to stay with her new Squirtle, so it was Ash, Brock, and Yellow.

When they walked in they were greeted by the Same scientist who met them when they arrived, "Ahh, it's good to see you guys back, we got more than enough research done so they are ready for you."

He led them through the lab where it seemed like a lot of things were moved and some Pokemon seemed to have also left or gone to a separate room, then they were led to a separate side room where they saw a cage and a glass container filled with water.

First, they were led to the aquarium where they saw the small yellow shell, inside was a blue Pokemon with 10 tentacles, an Omanyte.

The researcher grabbed a nearby Pokeball and handed it to Yellow, "This one is yours, it's a Pokemon named Omanyte, you should be fine to handle it, they aren't particularly dangerous, just make sure to keep him safe."

Yellow took the Pokeball and pointed it at Omanyte so that it would go in, then when she had it she released it again on the floor, when she did the Omanyte looked around in confusion and then up at Yellow.

Yellow picked him up and held it, "Hmmm, Omny! Let's be friends Omny!"

Omanyte looked happily as he accepted the name, meanwhile, Brock and Ash were led to the cage, where inside a large Aerodactyl that was thrashing around in the cage and screeching.

The researcher handed Brock a Pokeball, "This one is a…special case, as far as we can tell it has most of its DNA intact so it effectively has the same memories as it did when it was alive, as such this one seems to be very aggressive so I advise you to be careful."

Brock nodded and took it before putting Aerodactyl back in the ball, "I guess I'll have to work on that."

As soon as everything was ready they walked out, it already looked dark so they started walking back to where they were staying.

But before Ash and Brock went to their separate rooms, Ash grabbed his shoulder, "Hey Brock, can I borrow something."
