Seeing the three eldest still standing beside her bed, she urged them to sit on the edge. After carefully eying them for a while, she realized they were too young; too young was naturally for the age of the elves all of them under 200. Elves probably regarded the age of 300 as only becoming an adult like over 18 in the past world. Typically, a normal elf even without the profession could live up to 1500 years old; and the majority of the population rarely were regarded as weak civilians because they would join different professions. The reality was individuals with a profession could have a life expectancy of around 3500+ years. In theory, the higher the powerhouse level, the longer they would live on.
This was the normal range the elves could on average live, but this was multiplied by the source of mana coming from the Sunwell. Due to their natural gift sensing of mana plus the Sunwell, there were numerous magisters and archmages in Quel'Thalas when compared to other races. Because all elves could theoretically practice arcane magic apart from the comparison in one's inherent talent, they prided themselves as a superior civilization and called themselves High elves.
Anyone who had played Warcraft knew that Sunwell was a double-edged sword; on the one hand, it helped the elves increase their proficiency of magic and their natural talent in addition to also increasing their life expectancy. On the other hand, futures had shown Lireesa, the Sunwell was the Achilles' heel for their elves. Without it, high elves became distraught overnight, collapsing to the limit of begging other races which they considered inferior, where the jealous inferiors would predictably not give them a good look. Sunwell provided the high elves with a living space of concentrated mana where anyone who used arcane would feel comfortable at home. Sudden disappearance meant high elves weren't able to adapt. Likewise, a person living at sea level suddenly reaching the mountain top would never be able to adapt to the changing air pressure. It required a gradual alteration, but high elves never had a chance. Sunwell was suddenly destroyed during the Scourge Invasion; in addition, long-lived species certainly had one obvious shortcoming, they were always slow to adapt to change. So, this probably made Lireesa realize even such change could last around at least a century at the fastest.
Lireesa paused her thoughts after sensing a slight shake from her daughters and looked toward them and discovered their anxious mood. She smiled back at them in reply, and they quickly calmed down. They were scared stiff after seeing their mother's eyes wandering in confusion and didn't dare to interrupt until now. Her three daughters were very beautiful and the youngest would surely also grow into a butterfly. She was a bit thoughtful for a moment, sensing something was not right with her children. Oops, she forgot that the real Lireeza in the original Warcraft campaign had the youngest child as a son who she very much doted on. His name was somehow, if she remembered correctly, Lirath Windrunner. Now funny enough, in this world, Lirath became Lina.
Speaking of which, she might be the only woman in the entire high elves to be able to give birth to four children. As a long-lived species, all agreed upon one point, they faced extreme obstacles in regard to the demographic such as increasing population. Every civilization should know the vital advantages that the increasing population brought. Under no circumstances, the importance of demographic should be understated, it was what drove the specific types of geopolitics a nation would tackle. Although most nations in Azeroth knew some related issues, but they never really paid attention.
Lireesa was probably the odd one here. Other high elves' families struggled to even bear one child not to mention more. Less than 20 percent of the population really was able to give birth to two and rarely around 1 percent had three children in their families. Now the original Lireesa had remarkably given birth the most, but high elves rarely paid heed to this issue. For high elves, who regarded time as dirt, enjoyment was what they focused on the most. Who would want to reproduce and take responsibility as a parent when a person had so much energy to play around with? So, high elves rarely got married or tried to find one seriously. Some were so corrupted that they regarded sex also as enjoyment and rulers didn't forbid one because they thought this could increase childbirth. But they were wrong, terribly wrong as having magic made contraception easier and the repair of tissues due to wear and tear possible. So, these kinds of people without self-restraint couldn't get themselves out of sexual 'addiction', which occurred mostly in rich and noble aristocrats. Another reason why childbirth was so low was high elves regarded spiritual love as sacred compared to the reproduction process, and serious marriage partners rarely had sex, where the normal mating process wasn't able to get a female pregnant. Therefore, the higher level didn't concentrate on solving this problem any longer.
Even the old Lireesa couple was the same. But it was strange to see her getting impregnated successfully each and every single count. She sneered at the original in her heart, even among humans her physique is very fertile, the exact wife material I would always dream of. Then, she signed, not only did she achieve a dream of a perfect wife, but also, she straightaway possessed her body. It wasn't that she forgot her Jessica in her past life, she had to live on with what she had at the moment. Right now, the problem she had to admit was related to her three daughters which the original Lireesa even after sharing memories wouldn't notice. It's very subtle and negligible when compared with the responsibilities a ranger general must undertake.
Lireesa tried to move out of the bed, but Alleria's hand pressured her shoulder preventing her from getting up. Lireesa said, "I'm fine already. Let me move my muscle. Come help your mother stand up." The three sisters looked at each other and finally decided to help her out. Lireesa was a bit wobbling when she stood up; luckily her daughters were already there. She looked at what she wore, a white holy transparent nightgown with some underwear covering her important areas. She blushed at the thought of wearing women's night dress. It was incredibly sexy, but she felt ashamed for a moment and realized there were only women right now in the manor. So, it wasn't even considered as a problem.
"Let's go to the balcony together," Lireesa said, "It's now nighttime, the perfect opportunity for stargazing." She walked forward but was soon stopped. Alleria and Sylvannas both held her hand shaking their head.
Vereesa then interjected, "Mom, your body had just recovered. You Should at least rest for a full day before taking any action. "
Lireesa refused: "I know my body best darling. Remember your mother is a powerhouse, not a weakling. How could a mere weather stop me? I know myself better and I wouldn't hurt myself for no reason. Believe me." And she added afterward, "Alleria, Sylvannas, bring those reclining chairs upstairs will'ya." The two eldest obeyed and went for the chairs. Lireesa then grasped Lina's hand and shook slightly smiling at her cute face and nodded her head up, asking Vereesa to follow her. Reaching the balcony, the sight under a moonlit night and shining stars was mesmerizing. Adding the scenery with some flying leaves swaying to the musical chime of a breeze.
Vereesa, a lovely girl who lost nearly all her loved ones when her mother and the youngest were killed while Alleria disappeared in Outand, was comforted by a human mage and married him. It all felt like she would be the luckiest girl until her only sister, Sylvannas Windrunner died during the battle of Scourge Invasion. Afterward, she became a widow and faced rivalries even from her home, Quel'Thales. Very few from the same race supported her and sadness only awaited.
Sylvannas was the poorest, when everything about Windrunner was destroyed, and all the burden of Windrunner's family fell onto her. Even if she lost her mother and sisters, she definitely assumed the role of an elder, no longer mischievous but it had completely changed her temperament to an ice-cold machine. She could clearly escape when the Scourge Invasion was unstoppable, but she clearly sought death as her surname didn't allow her to tarnish the reputation. Even after death, there was no rest, Sylvannas was ruthlessly transformed into a banshee, where she couldn't control herself and was ordered to kill the same high elves.
Like a poisonous snake preying, she patiently waited for an opportunity to break off the control and she succeeded but unfortunately, her mind was broken. Grouping together with the same undead kind who had their own self-consciousness, they became a formidable force in Azeroth. After so much preparation, she was able to avenge her hometown and felt very relieved. In the end, for inner peace, she killed herself and was revived by her own subordinates. Her psychology now having broken double times, her concept of life changed, and her morals and ethics were now gone. She'd do unexplainable things afterward, from initiating unnecessary war to the extermination of unarmed civilians; she continued unrestraint. If only, was she cared for and loved, she would have avoided all these chaotic paths. Now that Lireesa was here, she believed she could prevent all this.
Although the eldest of all changed the greatest after her death, it wasn't severe comparing her other two sisters. It was only her gentleness lost in the dark pathway of revenge and bloodthirstiness. She was even renowned as the Butcher of Orcs. During Warcraft gameplay in her past life, Lireesa would hear her subordinates and her friends frightened of her ruthlessness toward the orc. It could be seen how much she hated and lost herself; Alleria was lucky to have found love, rescuing her out of an abyss.
Lireesa heard heavy footsteps from climbing up the stairs. She knew they were bringing the hefty stuff she requested. Soon, she turned her head and saw Alleria and Sylvannas each bringing two recliners along with the blankets. She gave them a thumb-up secretly—they know how to care for their mother's health. After placing them accordingly, she brought Linas beside her to lay down together on a recliner. Now, forgetting the stress and sadness, Lireesa dreamt alongside her daughters, immersing in the remarkable spectacle.
Any thoughts? Just leave it below.
For the early portion, it might seem boring but will slowly introduce the characters.
I pity Sylvannas. Her will, courage and schemes.
And the most important she had no love interest.
She is my goddess. Hehehe!
