First Adventure Missions

Ryker returned to the inn, only to be assaulted by a pint-size baby, "Big bwode, play, play play," the child let out a giggle, Ariana clearly wanting to have fun.

Ryker carried the child, to see the children looking bored out of their mind. He wishes to let them go outside but their safety is the most important thing for him. Thankfully, they were understanding kids and didn't do things like leave the room with no permission.

"Look what I bought!" Ryker exclaimed, putting everything he bought on the table. The children quickly scurried after it, the girls grabbing the cute headdresses while the boy looked at the toys, or in Esran's case, another glasses. The boy looked at his older brother, unamused.

"I also bought some books," he then turned his attention to the books, his older brother already forgiven. "And some snacks, something they called pastry," he brought out several different types of snacks, one no one in the room had ever seen before.

The children were about to run to grab one when Ina sternly said, "Wait for your brother to clean himself first, then we can have the snacks,"

Ryker decided to do as the young woman said, the children already looked at him with leading eyes. After cleaning up, the group quickly tried the pastry, all of them unanimously declaring it to be delicious.

After having dinner after the snacks, the children went to bed, Ina and Ryker remained in the living room.

"So, what's tomorrow's plan?" she asked.

"I'll take a mission at the Adventure Guild while you stay with the children. After I'm done with the mission, the day after it you can go on an excursion at the city center, maybe even bringing some of my younger siblings while I stay with the rest.

Unfortunately, we can't do the mission together, while Ilina could take care of them, she is still too young to be left alone with supervision," he exclaimed,  Ina's head on her favorite resting spot, Ryker's chest.

"In that case, what about you help me with my cultivation for the night? We hadn't done it for quite some time," Ina suggested, the blush on her face only making the lustful look on her more alluring.

Hearing her suggestion, Ryker moved his mouth to her neck, eliciting a moan before he carried her to their room, flesh clapping and moaning filling it as the night went on.

Ryker looked at the mission board, trying to see anything that involved fighting but at the same time would allow him to go back by tomorrow, at least. He then turned to look at the other mission boards. Yes, mission boards.

Calling it a mission area would be wrong, the mission hallway would be the most accurate. Mission boards were placed on each side of the walls, with the mission grades plastered on top of it.

He currently looking at the 1-star D-grade mission, trying to find anything interesting. After looking around, he found two missions that were close to each other. Reading all the info, he grabbed his badge before putting it across the crystals on the mission board, located near the mission he wanted to choose.

He had seen some of the adventurers do it, no doubt to allow things to speed up, choosing and taking mission can be done quickly. The mission information soon disappears, indicating someone already accepted it.

He then used his divine sense to his badge, the mission information can be accessed with it. Looking for his supervisor's office, he knocked on the door, a "Come in," was the only invitation he needed.

"Oh, so you just accepted a mission? Where is the girl by the way?" the man asked.

"Yes, two in fact. As for her, she needed to stay at our home," he replied before giving the badge to the man.

The man accepted it, using his divine sense before frowning. "This is some of the hardest missions in that rank, you sure you want to accept it?" he questioned Ryker, who just nodded.

"Fine, but be warned, unless you quit for a good reason, you will be given a demerit for failing the mission. It is something that is decided so no adventurers would take the risk that they couldn't handle," the man warned, Rykee accepting the warning.

While the mission would be hard, it was still something that he could handle. "In that case, I will be off then," Ryker replied, leaving the office as he headed toward the designated mission location.

"Kids this day, I hope you don't bite more than you could chew,"

The reason for the supervisor's warning is that Ryker had picked two missions that had remained there for nearly 2 months. Several adventurers had already tried to attempt them but only two escaped with their lives, the others becoming corpses in the wilderness.

The first mission is to hunt down 3 Rock Bears. While they have tough hides, they were still a Stage 2 Genesis Beast, the equivalent of the Genesis Formation for wild beasts, with an average strength of the species, is between the 3rd and 5th Stage.

The reason that makes them dangerous is that they are pack animals, staying in a large group, though they fight for the right to mate all the same. They also can be found in Rock Valley, the only place where there are Rock Bears in the area.

However, while it makes it look like it would be easy to capture a whole lot of them, there is one huge problem, the Rock Bear Lord, which is believed to be equal to the city lord in cultivation and the reason the Rock Bear were the ruler of the area.

The second mission is unlike the first one, where the target can be found easily if one is brave or foolish enough to head there. The next mission required them to kill a bandit group that had been terrorizing the caravans and merchants traveling outside the city.

The reason why the bandit group continues to exist despite having no existence equal to the city lord is their elusiveness. Whenever there were attempts made to exterminate them by any experts at the Genesis Condensing or higher, the bandit group would look like they had vanished, somehow disappearing from the world.

Only Genesis Formation ever met them, though every single 'meeting' led to the adventurers' and guards' deaths. Though from some of the messages left behind by some of them, it can be assumed there were around 15 to 20 members of the bandit group, with the exception of the leader all of them at the Genesis Gathering.

It is believed the leader used his men to force their pursuer to focus on them while he did the killing blow. Or he blocks them, letting his men take them by surprise. It was anyone's guess at this point.

Two super hard missions with near 100 death rates for the one taking it. Ryker's only thought was, "Finally, a suitable challenge,"
