'What's happening?!'

The urgent situation made my heart pound loudly in my chest. But before I could even think of how to respond to this sudden change, the creepy feeling disappeared into thin air.

It was like a winter breeze melting into the summer heat, and I might have dismissed it as a hallucination if not for my bloodshot eyes and my forehead covered with cold sweat, especially when Rachael had just wiped it dry.
