The Gift
Author Note: This is a kind of !!!CRACKISH!!! Fanfiction. I don't own Marvel and DC, nor I am some sort of loremaster.

But at the same time, I also felt a bit nervous and excited, I sigh and lay back down on the bed. But it was then that my back touched something blocky. I sat up, looking at the object behind me, it looked like a Suitcase and on the suitcase, there seemed to be an envelope. Surprise, I cautiously picked up the envelope and read its contents.

Dear Captain Gallahan,
We would like to congratulate you on your bonding with the Systems Forces and your two successful first missions. As a token of our appreciation, please accept this gift on behalf of the System Forces. Inside this suitcase, you will find a specially designed "Sling Ring" that is imbued with the power of the System Forces. My eyes widened, I couldn't believe it. A gift from my Sponsors? The Sling Ring had been something I had seen in the Doctor Strange movie, and could only imagine the kind of power it held. And the chip with a Smart AI from the Halo series? That was beyond anything I could have ever imagined.
I opened the suitcase and there it was, the Sling Ring and The Data crystal chip. The rings look like the one from the movie, a gold two-finger ring with a strange symbol on it, and the ring…it was glowing an ethereal purple, and upon touching it with my hand.

I was immediately bombarded with flashes of how to use the ring and all the remarkable things it could do. And once I put it on, I felt a strange energy surge through me. But I also felt giddy at the same time. I also picked up the Chip that looks like the AI chip that The Masterchief holds in his hand from the Halo series, which was a game I loved to play before all of this happened.

Decided to try something with the Sling Ring. I then pull my left ring finger out like in the movie and wave my right hand in a circular pattern while focusing on a particular destination I have in mind. Then all of a sudden a golden Portal opened up in front of me.
I stared in awe at the portal, feeling a mixture of excitement and trepidation. The scenery before me looks like a warzone with Gothic-looking ruins and structures. Many of the ruins I see are adorned with symbolic motifs, such as the double-headed eagle, skulls, winged figures, and iconography.

OH SHIT, I immediately went close to the portal before the damn green skins could spot me. I took a deep breath, I couldn't believe what I had just done. I had opened a portal to another world...and almost let a group of Orks through. In hindsight, it is probably unwise of me in the first place to open a portal to the 40k universe.
Okay…let's try this again but this time. I am going to try to access my personal dimensions. I have no idea how I am going to do this but I lose nothing if I don't at least try. I cleared my mind and put my hand over my chest, focusing and thinking about accessing my personal dimension. Slowly, instead of a golden circle, a golden glowing square appeared in front of me, almost like a door.
I touched it, and it opened up to reveal a vast hallway before me. I stepped into the dimension and looked around in intrigue. The walls were made of a shimmering blue and silver material, and I could see different doors leading off to various rooms. I turn around only to see the portal behind me closed, and with a sigh of relief, I begin to explore this dimension that I now personally own.
As I walked down the hallway, I began to open different doors to see what was inside. The first door I opened led me to a training room with various gym equipment and targets set up for practice. There were many rifle and pistol ranges, hand-to-hand combat mats, and even a large arena for team battles.
The second door led me to a very wide and open laboratory, it had many strange machines and devices that I had never seen before. There were also tables littered with various ingredients and chemicals, along with what looked like a large testing Chamber.
The third door led me to what looked like a personal armory. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that some of the walls were gun safes, empty gun safes in fact, and there also was what looked like a row of empty armor stands lining the other side of the wall. Hmm, an armory like this might be redundant but it is still cool as shit.
So basically I now have my own Batcave, I thought to myself with excitement.
The fourth door led me to a room that was a stark contrast to the others I had seen so far. It looks like a beautiful beach with crystal clear water and white sand. I could see various palm trees and beach chairs scattered around the area, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore was incredibly calming.
The fifth and final door led me to what looked like a living room and control room at the same time, with various screens and monitors set up around the room. The screen shows a detailed map of all of the cities on Earth, from Metropolis to Jump City. The map even shows what looks like a bunch of symbols, there looks to be the symbol of the House of El moving around in Metropolis, and looking at the screen more closely, I see that there are other symbols as well, representing different heroes and villains moving around the different cities. Hmm…that could prove to be potentially beneficial.
There was also a large comfortable-looking couch, a coffee table, and a small kitchenette in the corner. And is there also another table but this table has what looks like a bird-looking hologram floating above it?
As I approached the holotable, the hologram of the bird disappeared and was replaced by a map of what looked like the whole pocket dimension, and WOW does it look big. There was a dot in the middle of the map and upon closer inspection and touching it. The dot zooms in on the exact image of the room I am standing in.
I noticed that there was a slot into the whole table and it looks about the size of the AI chip. Taking the chip out of my inventory and inserting it into the slots I was met with a message made out of the hologram.
[AI Core Upload successfully…Do you want to install the Program?]

Touching the Y button I was met with another message.
[Time installing and setting up the program: 3 hours 20 minutes]
So I have some time before the AI finishes installing. I decided to explore the other rooms in my personal dimension while waiting for the installation to complete.
As I explored my personal dimension, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and excitement. This was my own personal space, a place where I could train, experiment, relax, and plan out my missions. And with the power of the Sling Ring, I could access it from anywhere at any time.
I chuckled to myself, thinking about how different my life was now compared to just a few days ago. I was no longer just a soldier, but an avatar of a powerful cosmic force with access to incredible power and resources. But in the dangerous world of DC, with that power came responsibility, and I knew that I had to use it wisely and for the greater good? Man…what the bloody hell am I doing.
I stepped back through the square portal and found myself back in my hotel room. I put The Sling Ring into my inventory. I knew that I had a lot of work to do, but I feel like I was at least prepared for whatever lay ahead.
It was noon, I was sitting in my hotel room meditating, slipping my 2$ shop-bought tea, and looking through my stats at the same time. I was looking through all of the perks I have gained through LV UP and trying to figure out how to use them to their full potential. All of these abilities that I have suddenly gained would be a huge boon to me.
Especially Telepathy, I have a feeling that My Telepathy was powerful like Beyond Alpha and almost Omega level powerful if I were to go by Marvel Comic Mutants level scaling. But it was also dangerous to use in a world where telepaths are often mistrusted and feared, like the DC Universe. I will have to be cautious about how I reveal and use my powers.

I closed my eyes and focused, trying to access my Telepathy for the first time. At first, it felt like trying to tune into an unfamiliar radio frequency. But then, I felt a spark in my mind, and suddenly, I was able to hear thoughts, like voices in my head.
It was overwhelming, and I had to quickly shut the power off before it drove me insane again. But just the fact that I was able to access it was a promising start. I need to get a handle on my Telepathy, I need to train and learn how to use my powers properly, and I have to improvise and rely on my comic book meta-knowledge to guide me. I am still not used to the whole having superpowers thing, but if I play my cards right I could become a very powerful force in this universe.
But the question remains who was that "Woman" and more importantly why me? But I decided to put those questions aside for now and focus on the here and now. After finishing that Quest, I unlocked the classes in my system, and I am now checking It out.

I looked through both categories and MY GOD there are maybe over 80 fucking classes I can choose from. From a simple farmer or chef class to a scientist or even a summoned class that allowed me to summon a variety of minions or mythical animals to aid me in battle. Not to mention the fact that I can have…from what I see… 8 classes simultaneously. Hmm…I could become a Space Marine Ninja Wizard and just the thought of it made me crack up a little bit.
Still, It was overwhelming, but I knew I had to think about it before I chose. I wanted classes that would complement my skills and strengths, as well as provide me with new abilities and advantages. But I didn't want to choose yet, I needed time to think about it and explore my options. With a mental sigh, I closed the class selection and was about to head outside into Metropolis, but then I heard a knock on the doors of my hotel room.
