Adamant Sol Dragon

“Is this the ore for creating runic weapons?” Freya asked the boy.

“Yes! But I’ve never seen an adamantite mine as large as this one. We could create more than ten thousand runic weapons with this amount. I could become one of the richest people in the continent if I can bring back at least one percent of the ores.”

For a moment, Leng San was lost in thought. Suddenly, his eyes widened, his body trembled with excitement.

“O...or this is…!!” Leng San’s lips quivered.

“This is what?”

“Adamant Sol Dragon!!”

Leng San couldn’t contain his excitement. The Adamant Sol Dragon was one of the legendary magical beasts that only appeared in records!! The boy who had studied numerous records during his childhood had read about its existence before. This creature was an ancient magical beast that had never revealed itself for thousands of years within the Azure Dragon Continent. But Leng San had the chance to encounter it here, within the Black Tortoise Continent.

“And what is special about it?” Freya asked the boy.

“Adamant Sol Dragon is a very powerful magical beast of the dragon species. It grows rapidly by shedding its skin once per year. I’ve read that it can grow up to several hundreds of meters after thousands of years. But what’s special about it is their skin. Their cast-off skin is the adamantite ore!!”

“So, what are you going to do next? Are you going to kill it?”

Leng San shook his head.

“If it was a normal magical beast, I would kill it without any hesitation. But this is the legendary dragon. It wouldn’t make sense to destroy one of the largest sources of adamantite in the human realm.

Furthermore, currently, even harming it is quite an impossible feat for me as its skin is the adamantite itself. Comparatively, combined with its yellow qi, my Heaven Shattering Axe is just a toothpick.”

Leng San carefully crept into the cave. He wanted the adamantite, but at the same time, he was also afraid of the Adamant Sol Dragon that was sleeping. But once he was a hundred steps away from the dragon, with his Dragon’s Sense, he detected something strange. Leng San squinted and hastily sprinted towards the Adamant Sol Dragon at once!!

“Idiot!! What are you doing!?” Freya was absolutely petrified as Leng San rushed towards the dragon.

Leng San ignored Freya’s voice. In the blink of an eye, he was in front of the dragon who was sound asleep. The boy slightly furrowed his brows and gently touched the dragon.

The boy was startled. But before he was able to squeeze in a word, hair all over his body stood up from the overwhelming energy behind him.

“Tiny human!! What are you doing within my territory!?”

It was the sound of a gigantic creature that landed onto the cave’s entrance. Obviously, it was the other Adamant Sol Dragon, the strong one!! The creature’s length was fifty percent more than the size of the one that was sleeping, with extended wings completely covered the sky behind it. Its scarlet body was the symbol of the most powerful creature within the Valley of the Ten-Thousand Trees!!

“Shit!! Freya why didn’t you warn me!?”

“This dragon concealed its energy. That’s why I couldn’t detect it. Perhaps, it had noticed your smell some time ago.”

The boy couldn’t stand up amidst the overbearing energy that was radiating from the creature. Despite its qi being at the same level as Yi Longtian of the Soaring Sword Sect, it was, totally, on a different level as it was a magical beast!! Furthermore, the creature was a dragon, one of the four strongest species of magical beasts in the world, which was incomparable to a normal magical beast.

Leng San’s face grew pale. The boy slowed down his breathing to regain his composure and concentration. Right after, the runes that were written all over the boy’s body shone brightly. He activated his Dragon Spirit and coupled with the combined effect of the runes on his body, along with his Dragon’s Muscle, to create ten illusions of himself that ran separate ways towards the exit, by moving at an extremely high speed. He hoped that the dragon would follow one of the illusions out of the cave.

“Why are humans so foolish?”

The Adamant Sol Dragon swept its tail to erase Leng San’s ten illusions that were in front of the creature at once. The speed of the dragon’s tail wasn't any different from Leng San’s.

Boom!!

“Arghhh!!”

Leng San’s illusions were thrust into the walls of the cave, creating a mini earthquake within the cliff!! The illusions disappeared one by one, leaving an unconscious Leng San behind. The boy coughed up a mouthful of blood, most of his bones were broken, and his internal organs sustained serious injuries, within one sweep of the creature’s tail!! He fought with all his might to maintain his consciousness.

“You were seeking death by entering my territory, human. This will be your end!!”

The dragon raised its front leg, ready to squish Leng San beneath.

“I...I can help your w...wife.”

Leng San forced out the words with his remaining breaths...
