"Rowan.. Where are you, Rowan?" Rowan flinched and curved himself into a ball as he hid behind the tree.

Though he knew that his mother would find him. Yet, he tried desperately to save himself. He could hear the sound of footsteps coming closer and closed his eyes but it was no use.

Gabriella was there with a scary smile on her face.

"My son! Did you really think you could hide from me?" there was a dagger in her hands when he flinched and crawled back but her face was still close.

"I have told you that you need to be perfect, you need to be strong to gain the position of a Sopheriene. But you never listened to me. Now look, you have lost it all." the child shook his head but the woman smiled and snickered at her.
