"I'm just giving you a fair warning. The Zhao family doesn't have a good impression of our Jiang family now, and no matter what I say, Uncle Reese holds a grudge against us. Either you return that brooch to me or compensate me with money." 

Adrienne was blatantly lying, but who would dare call her out? She was intent on destroying the entire Jiang family and collecting the debts they owed to her and her mother. She didn't mention the brooch to her Uncle Reese, but she was sure as hell he would be furious if he knew what had happened.

"Sierra, you better return your Aunt Rosemary's brooch to Addie. It's not right to ask for an heirloom of the Zhao family for a birthday gift. I'll give you the money you can spend on shopping instead."
