Chapter 6 - About his memory loss

Xiye and Kenyan were narrowing their eyes toward Stark's mother.

Lisa stepped closer to stark's mother. "Why did you hide it from me, aunty?" Lisa's ferent voice soaked stark's mother in a flutter.

"That's..." She mouthed and squeezed her hands, sweating.

"Why, Aunty?" she asked with prominent lines between the eyebrows.

"Did you think that I'm nothing to him?" Lisa's tears come down her red cheeks. She lowered her eyebrows.

"No." stark's mom took one step closer and put her hand over Lisa's shoulder.

"Lisa, hear me!" She hugged her gently.

Lisa stood upright with the swacked shoulder and dilated pupils at stark's mother with that fearful face.

"I was afraid that you would suffer more if I told you, that's why..." she explained, wiping away Lisa's tears.

"No!"

"It's okay with me. Tell me, aunty!" she asserted, and wiped her wet eyes.

"But..." stark's mom trailed off and directed her gaze downward.

Xiye and Kenyan pursed their lips at stark's mom, and their concerned eyes turned to Lisa.

"His mind has been full of only your memory since we left. His grandmother died after seven years. As the days went by, his memory was filled up by you. So, he put all his care into the dog just by thinking of you.

"A year later, the dog got sick. We kept it in the hospital for two days, and those two days he was worried about Jesh, and he hadn't even eaten properly. I and his dad were also afraid that something would happen to him. So, we decided to bring him home after the dog got well.

"Then we packed our stuff and went to the airport, and he got excited about seeing you too. On the way to the airport, we stopped to buy you a gift. When I got down, Jesh also came with me, so I had been selecting a gift for you at the shopping mall.

"When I turned my face to see stark, a vehicle had slammed into our car. His dad died on the spot." Lisa, Kenyan, and Xi Ye's inside corners of their eyebrows slanted upward as they were unwavering. Stark's mom looked down and wiped out her last drop of tears, and then she started again to tell the painful story.

"Then I looked at Stark, and the blood came continuously from his head. I didn't know what to do. After I looked at some blood on his head, I couldn't stand it, so I fainted on the spot. Jesh kept barking.

"When I opened my eyes, I was in the hospital, and I was also unaware of who had helped me. I got scared about what had happened to him.

"A girl came into my room. She was stark's friend and had been studying with him in Canada. She provided me with information about stark, and then I rushed to the I.C.U. The doctor said that he is in a coma, and he can't be sure when he will wake up.

"Stark had woken up after 30 days, and we got to know that he forgot about all things that happened before the accident. I was afraid to know how to recover him as long as he has no memory of you either, so I plan to keep him in Canada for a few more days. But his character changed totally.

"A few months later, he drove himself into a coma again. He remembered his father's death after that. He became a strange person too. I thought that if he remembers Lisa one day, what will happen to him? I was afraid to see him like that. So, I brought him here." Stark's mom half-heartedly smiled at Lisa.

They are too stunned to speak and forget to express themselves.

Lisa tilted her head down, and her tears fell on the floor. Then Lisa uprighted her head to her and lamented, "Sorry, Aunty!" Lisa hugged stark's mom tightly and couldn't help but cry.

Xiye approached Lisa and rubbed her shoulder.

Kenyan stepped near the ICU door and brooded at stark. "Why do you love her so much?" he mumbled and pulled his brows together and kept glancing at him.

After 10 p.m.

stark's mom asked Xiye and Kenyan to leave, who were settled on the other side of the sofa.

Lisa fell asleep by leaning her forehead on stark's mother's shoulder in the sitting position.

"Come on, Xi Ye, I'll send you off," Kenyan said.

"Okay, I'll come tomorrow, aunty," Xi Ye said and bowed with Kenyan.

"Okay, dear!" She initiated and maintained eye contact until they left.

Stark's mom slightly moved her chin toward Lisa. "Lisa, Lisa," she called. But she didn't wake up.

So stark's mom stood up without yielding even slightly as her palm held Lisa's sleeping chin and she leaned over the sofa to sleep.

And then she phoned Lisa's parents to inform them about Lisa.

"Hello, I'm stark's mother," she said.

"Yes, Xiya!" Lisa's mother replied.

"Lisa is in the hospital with me. she is sleeping," stark's mom informed.

"Why?" Lisa's mom stuttered and added, "What happened to her?"

Her dad also fluttered before knowing anything as soon as he heard her.

"Nothing," she said as she slightly shook her head from left to right. and said, "My son is in the hospital, so she's here."

"What happened to him?" She expressed less stuttering.

Stark's mom explained what happened.

"Okay, Xiya! we'll come tomorrow and take care of him," Lisa's mom said and cut the phone call.

the next day, in the early morning.

The sun's yellow rays shone on stark's pale face. His wrinkled eyes opened and looked around the room. But Lisa was the only one there. She was sleeping on the sofa.

"Mom! Mom!" he tried to shout, but his voice didn't even reach Lisa's ear.

"Mom!" he shouted again, and this time his sound woke up Lisa. She stood up quickly at the speed of the switch on.

Lisa yawned and covered her mouth as soon as she saw stark glaring at her. "Did you wake up?" "How do you feel now?"

"Why are you here?" he asked, looking at the door. "Where is my mom?"

His stare turned to her as Lisa said, "She went home. She'll be here soon." She was coming closer to him.

"Why are you still in the school uniform?" He was sneering at her from head to toe and curling his upper lip.

Lisa reached his bed and leaned her charming face against his. "Tell me!" She rasped, "Do you remember anything?"

Stark was blushing as his eyes scrutinized hers.

He put his forefinger on her forehead and pushed her away.

"Why?" She tensed her facial muscles and asked miserably, "Don't you remember anything?"

"I don't." He riffled his head away.

"Oh, it's okay!" she comforted.

"Can you please get out of here?" He asked, leaning his head slightly to one side.

At the time, his mom opened the door. and yelled while coming inside, "Why do you ask her to leave?"

Lisa's parents had also come to the place.

Lisa's mom and her dad's eye directly contacted Stark. She asked, "How do you feel now, stark?"

"Welcome aunt and uncle." He bowed his head and said politely, "I'm alright, aunty." He smiled.

"Thank you, aunty," he talked to them as he saw them put the fruits on the table.

Lisa's parents didn't even notice Lisa standing in the room.

"Mom, Dad, I'm here!" She waved her hand.

They didn't even look at her sides. They talked to only stark, and stark also flirted with them without hesitation.

"What's with their attitude?" She was cocking her head and pulled her brows together in a frown. "Are they ignoring me?" She eagle-eyed at him.
