Chapter 5 : Accepting, ft. Haruto.

Third person point of view

Haruto went and sat down in front of him. " What is this ? " Haruto asked wondering why Jeongwoo wanted to suddenly meet up. " Those bastards called seniors at my office are making me work my ass off. They keep throwing things at me one after the other without any care. I have so much work to do ".

Jeongwoo said looking like he would cry. " Then change the company ? " Haruto suggested. Jeongwoo shook his head. " The plus points of being an employee there are too many. The company is good, salary, benefits and everything else too. I can't change just like that. Plus if I work for a while more, I will be one of the seniors there ".

Haruto nodded looking down. " What about you ? Why do you look so dull ? " Jeongwoo asked. " Wait. Before you say something let's get some food and then we can talk ". Haruto nodded. Jeongwoo got up and brought some food with him. He brought two differently seasoned tteokboki. They started having it. " So ? " He asked picked up and eating it.

" I have a blind date tomorrow ". Haruto answered. Jeongwoo turned to the side and started coughing. Haruto handed him some water and Jeongwoo quickly gulped it down. He put the glass away and took a deep breath. He finally calmed down. " Why ? " Jeongwoo asked. " My parents want me to ". Haruto said and picked up the food eating it.

" I mean you indeed did not really date that much. I don't see any hope in your love life ". Haruto rolled his eyes at Jeongwoo's words. Jeongwoo noticed it and pointed at him. " It is true. You are so immersed in your job that you barely have any time or interest in love or dating or whatever. I'd totally agree with your parents setting you up with someone and getting you married ".

Haruto shook his head lightly and silently ate the food. " Why ? What is it ? " Jeongwoo asked not knowing what to think of Haruto's silence. " Why do you all sound the same ? Did you plan this beforehand ? " Haruto said and Jeongwoo laughed. Haruto also smiled. " No. And there is nothing wrong in trying out. If you really don't like whoever you meet, you can strongly say no ".

Haruto nodded. They just chatted while having dinner. Haruto didn't feel like drinking, but Jeongwoo did. That was the reason he came out for dinner to begin with. They were done and walked out after paying. " You can go by yourself right ? " Haruto asked Jeongwoo. " I am not even anywhere near tipsy. So it is totally fine. I can go by myself ". Jeongwoo assured.

Haruto nodded and they parted ways there. Haruto went back home. " What about the details ? " His mom asked as soon as he entered. He was a little startled. He didn't notice her sitting on the couch. He put a hand to his chest. " Aish... " He let out a breath. His mom was reading some book sitting there.

Haruto took out his phone and looked up for the places he knew. He sent one of their locations to his mom. She checked it and hummed. " Time ? " " You can decide ". Haruto said and she nodded. " I will wake you up tomorrow based on the time we decide ". Haruto nodded. " Alright. I am going to sleep ".

His mom nodded and picked up the book again. Haruto went to his room. He texted Jeongwoo to make sure he went back safe. He removed his hoodie and put it away. He sat on the bed and saw Jeongwoo replied. He finished chatting with him and put his phone away. He got under the sheets and fell asleep.

The next morning, his mom woke him up like she said. " Haruto... wake up ". She called out standing beside his bed. Haruto sat up and rotated his neck. His mother went and opened the blinds fully. He turned away from the window with a frown. She then left the room. He glared at her back in silence. He couldn't say anything.

He got out of bed and did his things. He walked out in a bathrobe after finishing his shower. He looked around wondering what to wear. He didn't want to go over the top. He picked up a pair of blue jeans, a black t-shirt and a white casual shirt. He put them on with the button up on the outside. He tucked the t-shirt and shirt in.

He then went to the mirror and dried his hair. He styled it with a little gel. Once he was done he checked himself once again and nodded in satisfaction. He rolled his sleeves up neatly and put on his watch. He picked up his phone and wallet. He looked around once and walked out. He saw his mom looking at him when he walked to the living room.

She was scanning him. He picked up the car keys and put it in his pocket. He then put on his black boots and turned to her. She nodded. " Not bad ". He let out a breath. " Bye ". He said walking to the door. " Don't play any tricks ". His mom said as he left the house. He walked out with a smile and went to the car. He got in and started the engine.

He reached the place five minutes early than the time of their meeting. He went in and sat down at a table. One of the employees gave him the menu. " I will order after a while ". " Okay sir. Take your time ". The employee nodded and left. Haruto sat there looking out while waiting. He kept glancing at his watch and outside.

Haruto huffed as it has been more than 20 minutes. He didn't know if something happened. He could only wait. He didn't like it but he decided he would leave if that someone doesn't arrive in the next 20 minutes. He can just use it as a reason and reject it. He sat there and continued watching the outside world.

But within 10 minutes a guy came and looked at him. He looked up at him and his eyes immediately caught his. His eyes had a sparkle. Haruto couldn't look away from his eyes. The guy spoke up and Haruto replied to him and stood up. Haruto understood why he was late and they also introduced themselves.

Haruto wasn't the type to talk a lot too so their conversation wasn't that good. They just spoke a little and Haruto suggested they order. He wasn't really choosy so he got the same as what Junkyu ordered. He wondered if Junkyu would see it the wrong way so he quickly explained about it and they talked about it a little more.
