Chapter 104 The Breach

The President's voice echoed through the room, each word a tangible weight that seemed to press down upon the gathered group.

His anger was palpable, his emotions raw and unfiltered as he slammed his fist down on the table and leaned forward.

"Either one of you is lying or there has been a serious breach in the Army," he growled, his eyes blazing with fury.

It was clear that they were in the midst of something significant, something that had the potential to unravel the very fabric of their countrys secrets

The generals exchanged worried looks, their expressions etched with concern as the full weight of the President's words sank in.

These were men who had spent their entire lives in service to their country, who had seen and weathered countless storms, and yet they were visibly shaken.

The enormity of what the President had just said was not lost on them, and they knew that the stakes were higher than any recent wars they had waged.

One of the generals, a grizzled veteran with a stern expression, turned towards the President and spoke up.

"Sir," he said, his voice laced with concern, "if there has been a breach of Such a high level within the military, what about the classified documents of the colonel to Major Genral ranks? Isn't there a very real chance that they could be leaked to the public?"

It was a valid point, one that the President had no answer for, and he leaned back in his chair, rubbing his nose thoughtfully.

The president leaned back in the chair as he rubbed his nose, as he took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as he tried to quell the rising panic within him. "Let's calm down and think logically," he said, his voice low and measured.

Turning his head to Colonel Banks, he continued, "Unfortunately, if what you have said is true, then we have much bigger problems than the Being in Red. We need to focus on plugging this breach before anything else. You're free to go."

Colonel Banks nodded solemnly, his eyes betraying a sense of urgency and concern, however that was merely just an act he had to put on.

He went to grab his laptop, but the President stopped him.

"Leave that laptop here. You can go, but that stays with us." Colonel Banks simply nodded and made his exit, the empty leather bag slung over his shoulder like a weight.

As colonel Banks was about to close the door behind him, the voice of the president echoed towards him Colonel Banks stood frozen for a moment as the president's voice echoed in his ears, "Everything discussed in this room is completely confidential."

Colonel Banks didnt turn his face to the president and visibly nodded his head in agreement. "Of course, Sir. Nothing happened in this discussion," he said, assuring the president of his discretion. As he simply shut the door behind him and started walking away.

Meanwhile James was focused on his flight towards the mountains, where his new underground bunker would be located, when Jarvis informed him about the video of him surrounded by the military being played on a secure and private network belonging to the Military.

"Who is watching the Video Jarvis?" James asked, wanting to know more. Jarvis replied, "Sir, it's the President and a few four-star Generals, along with another unidentified person." James wasn't too bothered by this information, as he knew he wouldn't be tracked by the government, as the goverment doesnt have such capabilities James nonchalantly asked, "What are they talking about?"

Jarvis responded, "Sir, they are currently talking about the military systems being breached." This information piqued James' curiosity, and he asked Jarvis to connect the microphone on the laptop so that he could eavesdrop on what was being discussed.

Jarvis connected the microphone, and James listened intently as the President spoke. "This is a very serious matter," the President said. "If indeed the technological systems have been breached, we must take action immediately and identify the breach's location.

Major General Michael, you are in charge of the technological sector, aren't you? Immediately mobilize all of the top avalible forces to check for the location of the breach and close it."

"We need to act fast," he said, his voice laced with urgency. "Change the security verification and passwords of everyone. This is our top priority right after the breach fixing, then find the perpetrators responsible for this"

The Major's voice was calm as he spoke up after the president.

"Yes, sir, I'm on it. However, it's clear that the people who created the breach must be top-notch hackers. It's amazing that no one had noticed it until now." He paused, a note of concern in his voice. "We'll have to tread carefully, sir. This could be just the tip of the iceberg."

P3 - "Alright, Try to keep this under wraps however, find the best hackers in the country and offer them a pardon for minor to a half pardon for any cyber-related major crimes they have committed and get them to help, you are dismissed Major."

Variation - The President leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowed in thought. "Alright, try to keep this under wraps.

We need to find the best hackers in the country and offer them a deal they can't refuse. Pardon them for minor to half a pardon for there major cyber-related crimes they have committed and get them to help us locate and fix this as well as track the people behind it" He said as he looked up at the Major. "You're dismissed, Major. And good luck."

"Yes sir" There was a sound of chair shuffling and thie door opening and shutting.

The President looked up, his face impassive as he spoke to the two other genrals "Do we have any suspicions on any country or group that might have organized the attack?"

"Sir, In my opinion, Russia is the country we have most strained relations with at the moment. But there's also China and North Korea who could be responsible as the relations with them arent the best"
