Chapter 61

"Well," Shannon chuckled nervously,

"It's just that the theme is very complicated and unlike one of those which are easy to catch." Sabrina reasoned.

"Are you saying that the combination of themes is grotesque?" Ivy and her father joined the conversation upon overhearing it,

"Well, it's not like that. I'm just saying that the combination is amiss. Surely everyone here would have a hard time to choose the correct apparel." Sabrina reasoned.

"Yes I know the combinations I chose are perverse. You must be the new Mrs. Wiles right?" Ivy asked,

"Yes, I am." Sabrina replied politely,

"The purpose for this is to challenge fashion designers into making the complicated possible and beautiful. And it's not my fault that your daughter can't seem to fit in the style." Ivy sizes Shannon top to bottom.

Shannon looked down embarrassed.

"Well, she's pretty impressive. But no matter how breathtaking it is, as long as it doesn't match the theme, it's somewhat useless."

The crowd murmured.

"Since you're new, I'll let your attitude slide for now. Mrs. Wiles, before you proceed into your brand new life, I advice you to overlook the situation around you and more importantly, choose your next words wisely." Ivy said.

The words struck Shannon inside.

'That youngster thinks she could lecture me?' Sabrina gnashed her teeth as Ivy walked past her smirking.

Mrs. Walkers in a distance, have been observing the scene and was upset at Sabrina and Shannon.

She was sure she sent the two invitations for Simeon and Amanda.

But what she saw instead, was two uninvited ladies who claimed their place while Amanda managed to come along with Mr. Wilson.

She could've let it slide since Amanda was able to attend.

But the nerve of those ignorant ladies to make a scene on her husband's birthday was getting on her nerves.

"Women from lowly families really are presumptuous with their wealth which wasn't even theirs." Mrs. Walkers muttered to her husband,

"Relax, it's just a misunderstanding. We don't want to ruin this special event now, don't we?" Mr. Walkers calmed her down.
