Chapter 30

KATHY POV

I walked into the classroom with my heart in my hand. I was so shy more than I used to be cos of a certain someone. I even took an extra time to look good today. I saw him at his usual corner sleeping...

"Hey Kathy!"

"Hey"

I looked behind to see if he would notice that I was in school but he didn't move an inch from where he was.

Through out the class today he didn't even look in my direction...

Dismissal...

School was over but Skylar didn't act like he knew me. It was like we were back to square one.. I was a whirlwind of emotions as I felt down, then angry, then furious, then sad, angry again and now heart broken.

I should have known... I got played...

The signs were there but I ignored them..

He just messed with me and dropped me. I felt the tears in my eyes as my heart shattered to a thousand pieces.

I even sent him a text in class and he didn't even bother to read it.. I left the class, wondering around the school with no particular destination in mind. I just needed sometime to think and space away from him...

10mins later..

The events of last night replayed in my mind as the tears threatened to fall. Remembering how happy I was when coming to school made me mad.

"I feel so stupid.. how could I possibly think I stood a chance with him. Stupid! Stupid!" I was hitting myself severally on the head when I heard someone behind me.

"Why you hitting yourself?"

I turned around to see the subject of my miserable standing there looking like a demi god which suddenly pissed me off. How am I supposed to stay angry at him when he looks like that?

I won't fall for it! So I turned my back on him.

"What do you want?"

"You"

My heart flew out the window. What was he saying now?? Why is he trying to confuse me? I won't fall for it!

"Not available"

"I just wanted to talk to you"

My heart dropped.. so much for wanting me.

"Go ahead and talk"

"Your back is to me"

"I can still hear you" I felt him closer to me.

"Turn around"

Skylar POV

Slowly she turned around and what I saw broke my heart. There was so much anger in her eyes but it was also filled with hurt and tears welled up in her eyes.

"What's wrong?"

They came loose as they fell down her face as she spoke.

"What's wrong? You're really asking what's wrong? You ignore me the entire day, you don't speak to me, you don't reply my text and now you stand here and ask me what is wrong??" She almost screamed trying to control her anger. But damn! She looks so cute right now...

"You used me... And now you're ashamed of speaking to me in public... Is that it?"

Hold on, hold on.. what does she mean by ashamed of her? Used her??

How is that even possible??!

For the first time in my life I actually had someone occupying my thoughts more than necessary.. I can't even go to sleep anymore without thinking about her...

And now she says am ashamed of her? Used her?

Have she even seen herself? She was a cute little thing any man will kill to have and that explains why her dad is so protective of her..

I got closer to her and gently, I wiped her tears before engulfing her in a hug . She was stunned for a second before trying to break free but I held her still. She was stifling her tears as she gradually calmed down.

5mins later..

She was now calm but her eyes were still red.

"Let's go"

Kathy POV

I didn't have the strength to ask where he was taking me as he grabbed me by the hand and drove me out of the school.

We arrived at his house.

"Why did you bring me here?"

"It's not your first time here"

"Am here ALONE... remember?"

"Am here with you"

"It's just the two of us, anything can happen.. am going home".

I tried to move but it happened in one swift motion.. I was lifted off the ground and I found myself wrapped around him... My legs around his waist and my arms around his neck with his left hand around my waist ... And a shocked expression on my face!

"Wh..what are you doing? Put me down" I muttered almost loosing my voice.

"Am not gonna do anything to you ... Unless you want me to..." He said looking me in the eye with those russet orbs as my heart missed a beat and I shut up immediately.

"Good girl"

...missed another beat..

Gently he closed the door behind him giving me a perfect view of his side profile which was as hot as hell! Focus Katherine!

He took us to the couch and got out his phone which he plugged in, in a few minutes, his phone came on and I watched him read my chat with him as the message I sent him in class popped up.

So that's why he didn't reply, his phone was dead and the message only got to him now.. I suddenly felt sorry for my outburst earlier but that was only one of the things he did that upset me.

Ding!

I heard a notification sound from my phone. I got it out of my pocket with my right hand while the other was still in his shoulder.

"Am sorry I just saw this.. " came his text.

"By the way you look good today. I love your outfit and your hair do".

"You smell nice too"

I was trying so hard not to smile as I hid my face away from him. Only one thing was on my mind.. he

noticed!

" thanks"

Now I was smiling from ear to ear as I hid my face behind him.

"Wanna eat something?"

I nodded, now getting comfortable as I wrapped my other hand around his neck.

"Noodles or grilled meat?"

"Both"

He smiled and made his way to the kitchen after dropping me to the chair. He put an apron on and turned on the cooker.

"You cook too?"

"Yeah"

"Wow"

"Why?"

"It's rare to see a guy cook"

"Am rare Soo.. "

I scoffed but still had a smile on my face. He was damn right about that.

A few minutes later, the noodles was almost done as he offered me an apple juice.

"So... Were you stalking me today?" I said, taking a sip from my glass.

"Sort of"

I giggled.

"That's so not like you"

"You made me this way" I smiled behind the glass.

After sometime I asked, "So you noticed everything I wore today?" I said smiling.

"Yeah. It was impossible not to... You don't usually dress up Soo much but you did today.."

The smile left my lips as a blush rose to my cheeks. Was it that obvious? What would everyone in school think? Did they have the same thoughts? Oh God, this was so embarrassing!

"W.. well.. you didn't notice my lipstick... It wasn't too much... Don't..you think so..?" I rambled just to cover up my embarrassment.

Skylar stopped what he was doing and turned to my direction.

"What do I think about your lipstick?" He asked with his head tilted a little to the side.

"Yes.." I answered without thinking.

He walked closer to me and before I could understand what was going on.. he captured my lips with his ...

His tongue savoured my lips like one tasting wine and I lost all sense of reasoning as my brain went on a 'reboot' mission...

"You taste good.. it suits you" and just like that, he went back to what he was doing and I stood like a tree.

What the hell just happened??!
