The Debt

Cole's face paled upon hearing that kind of strange order. He knew that his father—oops, his foster father—was cruel at heart, but he didn't think the man would be so ruthless. Just to hide the matter beneath his feet, he ordered his own blood to be killed!

He glanced at the man tied up in chains, who wasn't reacting to that order. He stood there in chains without uttering a word. The man didn't even move his wrist.

For a while, Cople wanted to hear the chime of the chains. Even a slight reaction would be better than this. Why was Oliver not a single bit surprised by this aspect? Why?!

So did it mean that Olivier knew about it a long time ago?

Cole watched as the officers nodded and raised their weapons. He knew that if they dared to subject Oliver to another round of abuse, the man would almost certainly perish.

Before realizing what he was doing, his body reacted almost automatically.
