"Pancakes!" Drakie yelled as they entered the house.
Dax stopped in his tracks and turned to face his flying annoyance. "I know you want pancakes." He said, in a calm fashion, attempting to hold in his annoyance. "I will ask my mother when we see her."
"Yay!" Drakie celebrated with another flying loop. "Pancakes!"
Dax sighed and then continued to walk through the house. His first stop was the kitchen. His mother was at the stove cooking what smelt like a delicious stew. The aroma that danced around the air was a constant heavenly invitation to eat. "That smells great mom!" Dax said as he sat down at the table.
"Oh, Dax, you are home!" Helen said happily. She stopped stirring her pot on the stove and turned to face him with a massive smile on her face. "Did your first day of training go well…" Before she could finish her sentence, her eyes widened, and her face reflected the horror that she was seeing. "Why are you covered in blood?!" She screamed out. "Are you alright?!"
