The Intruders

It was almost dusk.

Lord Divett's mansion was entirely silent from the morning. There were no maids running errands throughout the mansion as they were told to go home to their family for some days since Lord Divett had been in a very bad condition. So as not to expose his secrets, they were sent home.

The only people left in the mansion were Lord Divett, two members of the Night Fury, and a few guards guarding the entrance.

Since it was time, Fannie hurriedly went to Kavan's chamber and knocked on the door.

When the door was opened, she entered his chamber and saw him sitting down and removing the bandages from his neck.

"Kavan, are you alright? Do you think you can do this with me?"

"I am fine," he said and then stood up after tossing the used bandages into the bin. "There is no way we can prolong this, else we are endangering Lady Coleshill."

"You are right but I can call the remaining members and tell them not to tell Prince Kendrick."
