Derrick Wakes Up

After the physician left, Evelyn pondered on his words.

The physician meant to say that Derrick was still being poisoned. But how could he be …unless the food he ate was also poisoned!

Evelyn inhaled sharply at her guess.

If that was so then it must be Raphael's doing but then why was he even bothering to send the physician to feed Derrick the medicinal paste?

Did it mean that Raphael wanted to keep Derrick alive but not awake?

Evelyn paced across the chambers as she thought what could be Raphael's plans exactly.

In these few weeks, she had been able to find only some information.

If Raphael was still keeping the pretense of sending a physician then it meant that there are still some people in the Royal Palace who don't belong to him. But to get even those people's help and to get out of here, she needed Derrick.

Her eyes went towards Derrick again as an idea came to her mind.
