Soul Weaver

In a void, a single point glowed a glaring light. Multiple threads diverged from that single glaring point, leading to multiple places within the world. This was Soul Weaver's network that resided in his mental domain. All bodies that had parts of his consciousness represented themselves here.

Weaver was in Richard in the hospital when he felt it. The thread of Caretaker's soul being severed. He was by the hospital doors, waiting for Caretaker to arrive, but it didn't matter. Richard blinked as if he was lost, then he started looking around as if he just woke up, in reality Weaver had left this body. He traveled through the threads of souls he weaved and into the body nearest to the orphanage.

He opened his eyes, got out the chair, shoving paper and various documents on the floor as he booked it to the orphanage. Curious eyes watched the man run as if his life depended on it. He ran through streets and alleyways before finally barging through the gates of the orphanage. He motioned the guards in sight to follow him and together they maneuvered the building. They hastened their steps, heading straight down the main building's stairway.

On the stairs the sound of their quick footsteps emanated along with the laughter of children. When they arrived at the entrance to the underground chambers they were met with a gruesome sight.

The mouthed opening was wide open, the teeth that guarded it seemed to decay and the tongue that was the carpet was shriveled up and dead. But that wasn't the gruesome part. Within the corridor was Kate, Jade, and the other processed children whom he had met with Caretaker earlier, playing with Caretaker, except Caretaker was a corpse of a young man on the ground and the children were playing with his cold body.

When the children noticed them they jumped gleefully, notifying them of their discovery that was clear for all to see.

"Look look! We found a man here!" They yelled,

"Get them out of here and search the area!" Weaver shouted, he paced towards Caretaker's body as the guards cleared the room,

Caretaker's neck was twisted, his chest was pierced right by his heart and his right hand had a hole in the center of his palm. A blue light glowed within the surrounding as he attempted to take even the smallest thred of Caretaker's consciousness, but it had been too long. Caretaker's consciousness had dissipated along with his life.

Caretaker was meant to bring the commander's son to the hospital, and yet here he was, a cold corpse. He eyed the surroundings to find anything to give him an idea of what occurred. A dark orb, the commander's son must have rejected it. A tooth noticeably red, someone had been impaled. The other tooth that seemed to be rotting and the tongue carpet that had shriveled up, symptoms of its vitality being drained that could only be caused by Caretaker. Caretaker was injured to the point wherein he had to drain vitality, but once he did drain vitality he would be in his prime; young, healthy and alert.

Weaver couldn't understand how the boy had killed Caretaker. Caretaker was an old soul with experience of decades of fighting to survive. Even if the boy had monstrous skills to kill Caretaker so easily could only be done with unfair means.

"Perimeter's clear, sir."

Of course it was clear. In the time Weaver took to get here, the boy wouldn't have stayed in the same place. That was the son of the commander, it was likely that he would be telling the police right now. Even if the claims of an underground structure under the orphanage was unlikely, the commander would still order an investigation.

"Seal up the opening." Weaver commanded, "And bring the body to the storage."

The guards quickly followed, one carried Careteker's body inside, while another crouched on the ground with his palms flat on the floor, causing the earth to rise and block the opening.

Once the mess was cleaned up, Weaver exited the orphanage. In an alley near the orphanage he waited, holding a radio from his pocket on his hand. Various people would talk on the channel, but none of them would say what he was waiting for. No officers were called to conduct an investigation at all, instead, it was a request for backup.

"Requesting assistance! We have multiple break ins along the sub-urbs, people are being massac--" The radio buzzed,

After waiting for an hour there was still no call for an investigation. Weaver furrowed his brows in confusion. With questions in his mind, he began to pace back to the orphanage, however, along the way his eyes spotted clothing thrown away by a dumpster. A patient's gown, and what seemed to be a girl's clothing, red by the sleeves from blood.

He stilled. In haste, he ran to the clothing to inspect it to confirm his thoughts. The black clothing that was tight and feminine, seemingly made for battle. The familiar clothes came from no one else but Princess. His heart beat like the rapid fire of a machine gun. It didn't matter how, what mattered was the boy had stolen their weapon and he feared he might destroy her.

He entered his mental domain, quickly he seached for Princess's thread within the void. Her thread was long and yet it seemed to be slowly thinning. Before it could completely dissappear he followed it. It led far, and yet it was still by the city. Soon enough, he could see what Princess saw, he could hear what she heard and even feel what she felt. The moment he began to share perceptions with her he heard an old man's voice.

"You make a good point boy, I'll train her alongside you as my disciple." An old man appeared within Weaver's vision, "But for now, stay here. That orphanage is our top priority right now."

Omni Hanks, the old bastard that resided in Last Hope. Princess looked around, allowing Weaver to see the commander's son and the great grandaughter of Omni. The moment Weaver saw Omni, Omni turned to look at Princess and glared.

"Look what we have here? What are you doing weaving threads on a little girl, Soul Weaver?" Omni asked his eyes flashing with hate, "You make me sick."

Once Weaver arrived within Princess and he saw Omni in the premises. He knew his thread would be severed and this would be the last time he could share Princess's perceptions.

Omni raised his hand slowly. His hand an open palm that suddenly closed into a fist. Before Weaver's conciousness would be caught he cut off the thread from Princess himself.

Weaver returned to the body by the alley. With a sigh of relief he stood up from the floor and paced toward the orphanage. His heart completely at ease knowing that Princess was to be trained at the Last Hope.

Weaver didn't know why Princess was there or what the commander's son aimed by bringing her there but as long as Princess wasn't to be killed or dissected, she would always grow up to be the monster to control all the soldiers. She's a part of him, after all. That would not change even if she was with saints or devils. With Omni's guidance the girl would even be a better monster.

Weaver took out a phone from his pockets, typed and put the phone to his ear, "Ares, Clean the Orphanage will you. The old bastard's about to visit."
