CHAPTER 2: Luxury Aesthetics of Two Moguls

Part 01

Min DaeChan is known as the maknae of all maknaes in the Monarchy. The most spoiled Ven who is still humble, funny and has a heart of gold. He is the fifth son and maknae of the Business mogul Mins. Just like DaeHa, he inherited their Mama's white skin, beady cat eyes, small pouty pink lips and a dark red hair which he likes to keep neatly styled.

He loves to dance and act in musicals. So most times when he suddenly disappears, his family knows to check the dance studios or the musical theatres he(Chan) owns along with one of his 'crackhead' clan member, Kwon Han-Ju and he will definitely be found there somewhere.

Or he may be busy chasing after the 'Unirse stock market' along with the second eldest of the clan, Crown Prince Yun MinJun of the Southern State. It is no surprise that the witty Moneyghoul Crown Prince declared Chan as his apprentice and 'godson'.

President and Madam Min hadn't bothered to bat an eye when it got to their ears. Crown Prince MinJun is as 'abnormal' as every youth said to be in the 'Monarchy'. And they know for sure they can trust the young Crown Prince with their baby.

Growing up DaeChan always had the protection of his older brothers and his entire family. And even the Monarchys. Although they tried as much to protect him, there will still be the bad and ugly days mixed with his otherwise fun and care-free-money-hunting life.

His Papa and Mama had been an arranged marriage. Although his Mama didn't want to get married, her family did not care. They only sort after the benefits of being married into an elite aristocrat family. Well that was what they thought they will get in the long run.

The Hon family are part of the high class society of the Eastern State. They are quite good in business. The family are in the vacation resort and land business. Just by chance did the two families met for the first time in a charity gala in the Capital. What Chan can recall from his Mama's story, her family had somehow managed to 'offend' his grandparents (Papa's parents) and she was given as 'compensation'.

Worse was she was not aware her parents had actually 'sold' her to the Min family as she had been in college at that time. It was during her summer vacation at home did she finally know about it but there was nothing that could be done about it. At first her parents had lied to her that they owed a large amount of debts to the Mins and Mama was the only one who could save them. Even though she hated the whole 'unfortunate' circumstance she still had to pay her filial piety to her parents and (un)willingly be used as a 'compensation'.

She is the second child but first Ven in her family. Her older sister is an arrogant grade A+ Sen who didn't like her in the first place. Neither did her five other siblings that came after her. Although born with a Grade A+ gene herself, she was able to train and push her mental limit until her gene level upgraded to Grade S leaving all her siblings behind. She was too smart for her own good and too beautiful it always made the public always compare all seven Hon siblings. And she always takes the front line in everything a Sen and Gama loves in a Ven, which didn't make them a tiny bit happy.

It was after her marriage Mama realised that her parents actually sold her to the Min family for 200acres of private beach but not given for 'free' as she had thought. The worse is, she was expected to be a 'cash-cow' for the Hon family because she was a daughter of their family and the only one to marry into a 'Ancient Aristocratic- Elite Family'.

According to DaeJung hyungie, it would have been a good deal had the Hon parents gone about it the right way instead of offending Mama and being too greedy- much to the nod of agreement from HyunJae hyungie (those two hyungies definitely know no shame.

Since then his Mama had distanced herself from the Hon family. She didn't like Papa at first but they respected each other. But Papa who fell in love at first sight made sure to pamper and protect his love. To the world, Papa and Mama were a perfect fantasy match made by the heavens. That way of 'co-existing' lasted until a few moon-months after she gave birth to her first child. That took almost two star-years for her to realise she loved her husband.

After having her own children, the relationship between the Hon family and their family (mogul Mins) was almost as dry as the Dry Season he once experienced in the Western hemisphere of the Unirse. He can tell the similarity because he had experienced the utterly dry season when he had visted there along with the Imperial members of the clan.

So it is no surprise that the relationship between children of the Hon family and the Mins had soured over time due to the influence of the elders.

Don't get it wrong, the Mogul Mins are too lazy to pay attention to the antics of the Hon family. But the opposite side still seems to pass on the grudge of his Mama detaching herself from them to their children.

Thus comes the instances of being regularly 'harassed' for money by the uncouth and very detestable 'cousins' and their group of rabid dog friends. At first DaeChan didn't want to bother his older brothers about what he deemed to be 'petty-change'.

'Petty-change' that can buy the latest luxury phone in the market.

To Chan it was and still is nothing. But it turned his older brothers rage soo high, all six Hon children and their followers had ended up in the emergency unit in the hospital.

The Hon family head had called for a lunch meeting between the two families and 'tried' to admonish his Papa and Mama for allowing his elder brothers act 'rudely' to their Hon family. Papa gave a 'charming' smile and simply said.

"They have their own personality and reasoning. It is not good to interfer with their growth"

One can definitely hear the pride in his tone as he spoke about his children. Although they act like possed little demons most times, they definitely make him proud of their growth.

The heiress of the Hon family, who has been on the most 'hateful things to ever exist' of DaeJung hyungie list, Sen Hon TaeGyu had made a snide comment about how weak Chan is and it is definitely his fault-

The next word had been cut off as a wine bottle had flown mere millimetres from her ear and exploded against the wall behind her head. If not for the alertness of the elder, the young Sen would have been in need of emergency stitches

"Tch~ unfortunately I missed" DaeJung stood up pulling up a quiet Chan along with him. "Papa, Mama.. baby Frost and I will like to be excused. I am very sure my 'goldie' would not miss a bitchs' brain again"

Chan could see the smug smirk hanging on his parents lips as they kissed them goodbye and shove two flat custom made glass credit-cards in their hands to go shop. Very much to the envious glare of the Hon family. The fear of nearly having her head smashed open by the younger Ven who has refused to address or respect her older status over him, disappearing. Replaced by the very obvious greed and anger flashing through Hon TaeGyu's eyes. These are the kind of people President Min hates the most.

'Being greedy and not working to get it. But still expects to get it for free and easily'

The path to the top is never easy despite a person's status. Every level has it's difficulty. Every elite family have their secret enemies who are ready to drag them down and exterminate each other at any possible chance. The best way to protect yourself is work hard to achieve success and remain on the top. To remain at the top makes oneself push harder to gain understanding and enlightenment from every personal experience and hardwork.

But the Hon family believes more in the easy way of achieving success. And that is by 'selling' off their children in hopes to get better connections and wealth in the elite society. Although they are good in business, their frivolous and lazy nature has made them barely able to keep their position among the top fifty(50) spots of the Empire's Elite business moguls.

Fortunately for the Hon family, his older Sen brothers Hyunjae hyungie and Hyunwoo hyungie didn't come along for this bogus 'meeting' or it would have been a different story from the beginning.

Since that lunch 'meeting', the Hon family had been too busy trying to find ways to refill their almost empty saving accounts after being hit by DaeJung hyungie and his bestfriend with lawsuits. Chan really learnt more about the law following the two Vens as they hit one case after another on the now scrambling Hon familyhead. DaeJung hyungie with his bestfriend and clan member Yoon Suel-Ki hyung (who is a double major of law and entertainment) had made sure to recover three times the amount extorted from Chan along with other compensations. As much as they tried to find the best lawyers in the whole Empire, none dared to step forward to help them. And Chan believes it has something to do with SuelKi hyung being the second child of the Yoon Imperial lawyers.

Those 'old lawyers' really won't want to embarrass themselves infront of the whole nation by involving in what was dubbed 'cubs banter' by the Yoon and Mogul Min family heads.
