Resheph Familia
Goddess went on to explain. "Resheph is a god of war and plague. According to records of the travels of the Freya Familia, they encountered the Resheph Familia and had some conflicts with them which resulted in the loss of the level twos and threes.
Their captain that was level four so their power is not what it once was. In those records, the Resheph Familia were mercenaries and very cruel ones at that. They were more well known back then for burning villages, pillaging, murder, rape and destroying everything in their path.
I would suspect that they were behind what is happening right now but they have no particular goal of their own besides participating in battles and spreading chaos. Someone else could have hired the Resheph Familia or they will be working with others now. Resheph was affiliated with Seth back in the land of the gods so we could start from there."
Resheph and Seth were both Egyptian gods of war but Seth had far more titles than Resheph, each of the titles he had were desert, storms, warfare, violence and disorder.
Seshat was far more familiar with the gods that were closer to herself who was an Egyptian Goddess so she had far more knowledge on them.
They may have all shared the same home but there were gods that were a part of a certain community.
Some found familiarity in them being connected through where their myths and legends came from while others got along with others that were a god of the same type.
Resheph and Seth had stories from Egypt and they were both gods of war or warfare so they had a lot in common.
Even if they were not close friends, they would find themselves running into each other on battlefields, they had things in common or would even be working together some times.
It was not that difficult for Seshat to come to a conclusion that they could possibly be related but there could have been many more among the gods that could have been working alongside the Resheph Familia.
She continued to say. "Resheph is a small god with black eyes, long black hair that he keeps tied back with a bycoket hat on his head. He is lacking in dignity and grace of a god but his deduction skills are very high so do not underestimate him or his familia even if they are not what they once were."
Resheph and those of his familia would be used to warfare and Mallory was still young so it was easy for her to fall prey to them if she confronted them one day.
Their methods of war were not to be taken lightly and what had been shown so far was just a very small part of it.
She was still just a small and young girl that had yet to experience the true terrors of warfare.
One moment of weakness could mean her end and Mallory's experiences were not enough for her to overcome many different situations.
Seshat explained further. "Seth or Set.. his familia is among those that were once powerful too and weakened greatly a long time ago. He has led an exploration type Familia but I am unsure what his recent goals may be.
Alongside the Sobek and Osiris Familias, the Set Familia lost a battle against the Zeus and Hera Familias several hundreds of years ago so they have had a long time to rebuild since then."
Mallory was made to lie down flat on a bed and was given a lesson about several gods and goddesses while her status was being updated.
There were some or many differences in the knowledge she was given and the knowledge of the gods she possessed.
In the world of the gods, the gods may have taken on another form like how they were described in the legends but whatever form they may have been described as in the stories Mallory knew about from her own world, they would take on a human form in the human world.
An example would be some Egyptian gods or goddesses that had a human body and an animal head but had instead taken on a full human form.
There were other gods that were described as the form of a monster or animal while others were described to have many different forms.
The original form of the representations of the Gods that were seen in statues, paintings, etc. were meant to represent them or act a a symbol of their faith.
The Gods were believed to have true forms that were never revealed to mortals because the result was usually disastrous.
A prime example of that when Zeus revealed his true form to Semele who was a mortal and the sight of his true form was so overwhelming that she burst into flames upon seeing him.
In a sense, it was a belief that the Gods were beings who were basically beyond human comprehension and the gods that had descended had taken on a form that everyone could relate with or comprehend better.
Goddess Seshat was described to possess leopard skin that represented her power over and protection from danger, a crescent above her headdress, resembling a bow that represents dexterity and precision.
She lacked the leopard skin but still wore the crescent headdress but she did wear leopard print clothing or a mask at times so what Mallory knew was not completely incorrect and may even help identify other gods.
It was still very helpful to her and the information she was being given about the other gods would allow her to recognise them if she ever crossed paths with them.
A light started to fade on her back and she sat up while putting her top back on before reading the piece of paper that was handed over to her by Seshat.

The new spell slot had been filled with Warding Mirror and there had been some stat changes that had been updated since the last time once Mallory looked at the paper in her hands.
The stats did not have a giant leap of change like when she left a week to update it but it allowed her to increase her stats a little more.
The magic was what she needed most to increase her talisman and item crafting but now that she had a spell to use, it became more important to raise up.
Her other combat stats could be raised too but not by a large amount since she still had to practice against Oars.
If she increased it too much then she would he under far less pressure than before and Oars would no longer work as a decent opponent or obstruction.
If he was not a threat to her anymore then it would be less challenging for her and she would not be able to learn as much.
With her levelling up to level two, it did cost more to increase her stats so it would take a longer time to gather what was needed but she still had enough left over from what she had built up over time within the city and through her recent outing.
The previous stats and Excelia values were one and one but upon levelling up, they would be one and four with how much more Excelia was being spent to raise her status.
The previous six thousand, nine hundred and ninety five Excelia needed to gain all stats of level one to the limit of SSS had been quadrupled.
The total stats increased during the most recent status update had been one hundred and seventy which had cost six hundred and eighty Excelia.
An average reward of Excelia for killing a monster between the stages of level one and two could be anything between ten and thirty Excelia so even if she killed a group of monsters that were worth on average twenty Excelia, it would only take thirty four of them to cover her most recent update.
With her actions clearing around the city, finding lures, solving the problems in the village, assisting the others in her group and putting a final stop to an additional threat hiding in the village, the amount that she had spent was just a small portion of it.
The more natural growth that she underwent on her journey also played a part in reducing the Excelia that could have been spent to update her stats to their present state.
If there were some stats that had increased on their own then it would be her agility and magic that were put to use the most as she was riding around on her bike or was trying to further master her new spell.
There may have been a little of an increase to her dexterity or endurance too but it may have only been a couple of thats that would have risen.
Mallory licked her lips in delight and calculated what Seshat had told her about the updates to her status upon levelling up then decided. "Goddess… how about we go another round and increase the magic a little more."
Seshat asked. "By how much this time?"
Mallory thought to herself as she looked at the magic stat that was at the D rank with five hundred and sixty stat points. "Raise my magic to C rank."
Seshat nodded. "That should be four times the normal amount that you would have used during the time you were at level one. Do you want forty or fifty points raised? That would be estimated to be around one hundred and sixty or two hundred Excelia going by how we have been calculating things so far."
Mallory thought for a moment when looking at her status. 'It would be best to raise it slightly higher than just at the very beginning of C rank so the extra Excelia spent may make a big difference in the long run.
It is only around ten monster kills that are worth around twenty Excelia so I can get that back quickly. Now that I can make trips outside the city and am less confined, earning more Excelia should not be a problem.'
She spoke clearly and said. "I want it raised to six hundred and ten."
Goddess Seshat nodded. "Okay lie down."
The next moment, her status was updated again and only the magic stat was changed but there was no need for a copy of it since Mallory already knew how it would turn out and there would be no big changes in such a short time that needed to be looked over.
Suddenly a pair of hands went towards her head and started playing with her cat-like leopard ears. "Nyaaaa! Stop!"
It cost two hundred Excelia to raise her magic stat by fifty points to rank C with a total of six hundred and ten.
Those six hundred and ten magic stat points were placed on top of the stats she gained at level one that were rank SSS with one thousand, three hundred and ninety nine magic stat points.
Compared to a lot of level two or three magic users, she possessed a greater amount of magic power but she still had a long way to go before she could be better than them when it came to casting spells effectively and she only possessed one spell so far.
If there was one large bonus to having more magic then it would be the increase to the amount of talismans and magic items she could make or the amount of magic she could spare to make higher grade ones that cost more magic power.
It would save her from taking potions to replenish her lost magic power so those funds would become far less unless she went crazy with crafting at some point.
